Anyone else on this board a Pink Martini fan?

We just saw their show at the 9:30 club, which was one of the best times I've ever had at a concert.

Crimen y Castigo just turned me onto them. I only have Sympathique but I'm really enjoying it.

It's weird because a friend just returned from visiting friends in NYC and said his friends had burned a Pink Martini disc for him without knowing I had just learned about them. Suddenly, Pink Martini is everywhere.

I first heard about them back in March on The World, finally picked up Hang on Little Tomato a couple weeks ago and now I need to grab their first album. Excellent band.

Get Hang On Little Tomato. It's just as good as Sympathique. Last night, they played a new song the guitarist wrote. It's a Portuguese mid-tempo song, the title translates to "Sing and Dance" (Cancha y Baila?) If that's an indication of future songs, the next album will be just as good.

My wife loves them; I think they're OK. They are opening for David Byrne at Summerstage in a couple of weeks which we would likely attend if it wasn't for that we just saw Byrne at Carnegie on the same tour about a year ago.

Man, that's a fun band to see live.
