No stockcar! Come on! I like F1 more, but NASCAR is awesome. My favorite drivers are Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, and Dale Earnhardt jr.(only cuz i was a fan of his dad)

17 and 19, huh. I agree with Kenseth, but i never hear about mayfield. How come you like him? The driver I really follow is Gordon cuz I met him once, plus relatives of mine work for Dupont. The rest are just casual. Tony cuz of a friend, Kenseth cuz he's a cool guy, and little E because I mentioned earlier. What do you got against Stewart?

I started a thread a month or so ago. It's now on the third page of this forum.

I joined a NASCAR betting pool, that's what got me interested. It's like a lot of things. The more you watch it, the more you like it. I'm learning more about it, which makes it fun.

As for drivers, so far I like Stewart, Newman. Stewart can keep the car on the bottom of the track and Newman has that secret gas tank.

The last race of the season I drew the 10th pick out of 13 in our pool. So I took a chance on Elliot.
He dominated most of the race, then blew a tire in the last lap, costing me $50.

I've tried watching some F-1. It just doesn't do it for me somehow. Too much twisting and turning, not enough flat out speed.

    I can't wait for Daytona.

I used to always watch the Daytona 500 with my dad. He hated Dale Earnhardt, so it was natural for me to become a fan of the Intimidator. He was always a Rusty Wallace fan, and loved any race at Bristol, especially the one under the lights.

Now that Earnhardt's gone, I root for Junior and Childress' replacement for Earnhardt, Harvick. I usually watch the Daytona 500, Pepsi 400, the Southern 500, any race at Talladhega, and every Winston Cup race at Bristol, especially the Cracker Barrel 400 (or whatever it's now called) under the lights.

Other that, i don't follow it much.

Kenseth I started rooting for in the busch series....he was the driver I picked to 'follow' up in the ranks.....fortunately, he caught on with a good team and I have had some luck watching him.

Mayfield was a little different....At my first race, my brother and I picked drivers to root for.....no vested interest, just to root for guys....we both decided on Nadeau (because he grew up in the town over from me, he was a 'legend' racing on rt. 84 in connecticut)....and Mayfield....basically picked mayfield because we liked the 12 car at the time......
Stuck with him since...Nadeau too...but, I don't think he is coming back to the Cup anytime soon (if at all.)

I can't stand Tony for a number of reasons......The main one being that he is a conceited jerk who thinks its his divine right to win every race..and when he doesn't, its because he was 'cheated', not because someone raced better...
