Anyways what makes the cartoon funny is that besides the rivalry between Chivas and America this is the second time America does something similiar to Chivas. The first was when Chivas held Try Outs for young players. What they did was comercialize the whole event and about a month Later America launched it's own nationaly publisized try outs.
Re: Re: Any idea what this cartoon means? Is there an English word for "Antojo" ??? yeah.. its a whim.. but in this context its more of a craving or to fancy something Anyways what makes the cartoon funny is that besides the rivalry between Chivas and America this is the second time America does something similiar to Chivas. The first was when Chivas held Try Outs for young players.[/b] dont misinform the public VS. just about every club has tryouts. And what Chivas did was not a try out, it was a scam. paying 50 bucks to get a tryout. America and just about every club have free open tryouts regardless if it a nationally or local tryout. What they did was comercialize the whole event and about a month Later America launched it's own nationaly publisized try outs. This is not Chivas first time to host a tryout. I dont know why Vergara made it seem that they were the first EVER to host a tryout. What they were the first in to charge kids a chance to to get a try out Also for the public VS.. how long has America and Morelia been in cahoots with MLS execs ? a lot longer than Vergara bud. Most MLS fans dont have the slightest clue of the conman Vergara is. They dont know the ridiculous claims he has made and the endless lies that he has stated publicly In all fairness, I think he is going in over his head and is rushing things just so he can say, "WE were the first" He may be the first to sign on the dotted line, but does not mean they were the first to have hegotiaions or preliminary negotiations

And you are forgetting the key word that i used. I will bring up later on.. This is not Chivas first time to host a tryout. I dont know why Vergara made it seem that they were the first EVER to host a tryout. What they were the first in to charge kids a chance to to get a try out. Key Word of the day "Comercialize" Vergara comerzialised the Try Outs.. So yeah while America has had their free try outs "Futuro Aguila" was a page taken straight out of "Chivas de Corazon" and i dont care how the try out method were diffrent or free. Im talking about showing the try outs on TV intervieweing the kids giving the event a following in the TV and press.. Also for the public VS.. how long has America and Morelia been in cahoots with MLS execs ? a lot longer than Vergara bud. Not as long as when the Chivas-USA idea was proposed. Most MLS fans dont have the slightest clue of the conman Vergara is. They dont know the ridiculous claims he has made and the endless lies that he has stated publicly. He does what he has to to make the headlines and well here you are talking about him so i guess he gets the job done in that department. In all fairness, I think he is going in over his head and is rushing things just so he can say, "WE were the first" He may be the first to sign on the dotted line, but does not mean they were the first to have hegotiaions or preliminary negotiations I thought you were not going to follow an America USA squad, if Not then diont lose any sleep over this..

I thought you were not going to follow an America USA squad, if Not then diont lose any sleep over this.. i dont care if America has an MLS team. Personally, i think the money could be used else where..but its not my money so they can do what they want with it. i wont follow an america Jr team.. why would I when I have the sr team on the tube every week end
Re: Re: Re: Any idea what this cartoon means? Actually, rdl, this whole Chivas subforum is based on Viagra's ridiculous claims and publicly stated lies.
I assumed that ppl would get that by the ??s. FYI, rhetorical questions are basically statements... Are they still "lies"?...
I assumed that ppl would get that by the ??s. dont assume. many gringos dont know that a question in spanish is enclosed by question marks. At the front and at the end of the sentence. One is normal the other is upside down. FYI, rhetorical questions are basically statements... I understand that a rhetorical question is asked merely for effect with no definite answer expected, BUT the cartoon character asked a rhetorical question and you didnt translate it as such and in doing so it loses its context. no need to get into a spanish grammar - english grammer debate here. just corrected the context of it all for the less fortunate (the ones who only know one language)
