Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) toldya , he would be a good signing for any premiership team and he is currently in his best years. Would be cool to see him play with Valencia at Wigan.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) The problem has been Al-Saad, Tenorio's their great striker, and they don't want to let him go so easily. I'm sure he'll impress in the Premiership...let's hope he makes the move.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Oh man, I would love for Carlos Tenorio to play in the Premier League, you guys think this might happen?
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Skysports is pretty reliable so I think that the interest in him is there. Just have to see if the deal comes through between the teams looking at him at Al Saad. Besides, they might accept selling him for a small junk of change or get nothing for him if he walks out in December...
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) that would be awsome if wigam signed him the we have 2 ecuadorian startes in the same Premiership team. if that were to happen wigan would instantly become my favorite club no matter how badly they lose
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) I think they would have the support of a whole country... I was going to say imagine their shirt sales in Ecuador, but we would of course manage to make poor fakes and sell them on the street for a tenth of the price so there won't be much gain there...
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) they would gain a lot of popularity though and thats a big thing they need.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Well, I don't know how it would affect them all the way in England...It would have definetly had a bigger impact if the team were Spanish simply because of all the Ec's in Spain. It definelty won't hurt them, but we won't be buying any season tickets from here and like I said, when it comes to jerseys and merchandise, we will probably be making our own...

Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Valencia it seems has turned down a two year contract at Wigan. HOWEVER, he has signed for a further year on loan. There is nothing official about this yet but it comes from a reliable source.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Why?? a 2 year contract is nothing...does this mean he is a free agent? So who is he on loan from? I am sure he pissed off a lot of Wigan officials and supporters with this move. I wonder what will happen next...
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Still on loan from Villareal. The rumours fee that we had agreed with them was £4m so to only offer him a 2 year contract after paying £4m seems strange to me. Will just have to wait and see. The manager is back from his holiday now so things should be sorted in the next few days i think
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) It seems a long term would be in the best interest of both club and player considering his age.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Cool!! Let's see Wigan move up "another level" this year as well.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) You think so? Don't yo think he has a bit of a temper?
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) Yeah he does have a little temper,it can be good but at the same time it could hurt him.The good thing is that he's still young and can be tought how to control this.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) LAV has been super so far in pre-season. The manager has tried playing him in the middle of the midfield, rather than on the wing, for a few games and he seems so much more effective playing there. There was a little interview in one of the newspapers here today and LAV sounds very positive about the season ahead.
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) best of luck this season!!! all the ecua's are rooting for you guys!
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) LAV started the season well but he's injured again He's had a small operation on his knee. Hopefully he should be back in 2 or 3 weeks
Re: Luis Antonio Valencia, news & comments (r) According to Wigan's website, Valencia might come back from his injury to play against Man U tomorrow. This is great news...we need this kid for the WCQ...
