While we've been wondering, Fulham go back in front on a Brighton own goal at 78', 2-1 now as we approach full time.

Jedi starts against Arsenal. Saka starts as his opposing right wing.

 

Fulham have been watching game tape - all eleven in the box to defend a corner.

 

Early goal from Jimenez - quick attack down the right side as Tete sees space behind the defense and plays it vertically into Jimenez's run. Perfect far post finish. 1-0 Fulham.

Yes, “against run of play” was putting it mildly.

 

Good half for Robinson. Not doing anything on the attacking side of things, but he's neutralized Saka effectively. Saka hasn't completed a cross yet on 9 attempts, which speaks to the less-optimal spaces that Robinson is forcing him into.

Stats-wise, 3 clearances, 2 interceptions, 4 defensive recoveries.

 

Arsenal with their usual high-quality corner, Robinson leaves a lazy foot out to keep Saliba onside, 1-1.

 

Jedi beat on header off a cross for a goal but fortunately ruled offside by VAR

 

If the first half was a 7/10, the second was a 3/10. Kept Saliba on for the first goal, bailed out by VAR on the second, and just generally vulnerable for most of the second half.

Good result for Fulham though, still in 10th.

 

Robinson puts in a great cross and gets the the assist on Andreas Pereira's goal. Fulham up 1-0 on Liverpool 12 minutes in.

 

And liverpool down to 10 on a red card. Was it Jedi who put in the long ball forcing the red card? I couldn't tell who sent it in.

 

I had just clicked on and checked the matchtracker and saw FFC up by one but A Robertson with a RC and my coffeeless brain thought it was Jedi... Glad I just can't read.

 

And just as I turn on the game, AR with a good toe-poke steal, a one two as he flies up the touch and a good cutback pass that end with FFC shot blocks. He was running!

 

Jedi shows off his jets, cutting out a pass near his box in one moment, flying down the wing, and putting in a dangerous ball into the box in the other end, while everyone else looks like they're standing still.

 

AR gets the ball wide again, but his attempt at a 1-2 is a bit behind and doesn't come off.

 

Like Robinson against Liverpool, my post was too fast for you! lol...

 

Despite being down a man it feels like Pool could score here. Be really a good idea for FFC to score. (my tactical nous is showing.)
