Only one play for Fulham at this point. Get it on Mitrovic’s head.

Leeds kick the ball out of bounds without pressure more than my AYSO U12s.

FT. I had been living in the illusion that Fulham were not as bad as their record and were destined to turn it around... but then I watched this game.

AR is fine, but, like all of Fulham, too loose with the ball, and tries to play better than he is able. Fulham need to be direct and clean with the ball. They can't play the way they try to, in my high-paid professional opinion.

Fulham have a lot of guys that like to dribble and it wasn’t coming off and they seemed to fade a bit in second half. AR was ok.

Yep, everyone holding the ball one touch too long. AR was John Prine-ish to my eye: pretty good, not bad, I can't complain, but actually all them dogs are just about the same.

He's confident going forward, which is nice, but doesn't see the final pass well enough yet.

Thanks for the pbp and commentary, much appreciated

PS, I met John Prine in 1976 or so. He succumbed last year to covid. He sure is missed.

yeah, I was lucky enough to grow up near a small outdoor summer music venue. Prine, Kottke, Wainwright, Chapin, Guthrie, etc. came by most summers and I'd smoke sticks and seeds (what you could get as a 15 yo back then...) and lay in the grass behind the stage and listen... But this is way ot. Glad the pbp was useful.

Aston Villa just tied up with Fulham 1-1 and 79'

Antonee was about to come on to try and help hold on to the win, but the cameras caught Scott Parker to go and sit back down lol. I hope he does come on eventually.

Oop. Villa just went up 2-1. Wow!

Robinson starts vs Wolves (Ream and Otasowie on their respective benches). 0-0 after 15 minutes, pretty slow early but picking up.

Anderson with a seriously beautiful long diagonal ball that a streaking Robinson just immediately catches with his foot before crossing into the box.

    Really impressive trap by Robinson.

Fulham owning possession, but you know that old line about just missing the last pass? Fulham are missing the second to last pass.

Robinson successfully mugs Neto, deemed to be clean. Neto slightly injured.

Should’ve had an assist there. Great ball in, and RLC heads it inches wide.

Jedi excellent cross onto the head of Loftus-Cheek, who heads just wide. Closest they've come. Robinson earning good reviews so far.

Neto coming out of the game, it appears. Hopefully he's OK, but Jedi will be the one who put him out. Probably not good for Otasowie's chances of playing if Wolves burn a sub on this.

Wolves shift from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-5-2, maybe? They have been outplayed, so worth trying, I guess.

Robinson with a great run from his own half, then picks out Mitrovic with a cross that he also puts wide. AR has looked good thus far.

Robinson with another excellent sequence taking a ball down, burning a man and putting in a great cross.

Great play by Robinson, fighting off a challenge to possession in his own end with strength, making it all the way up the sideline with speed, and finding Mitrovic's head with the cross. Mitrovic heads wide under heavy pressure.

Wolves goal overturned in a terrible decision. Turns out VAR can't do anything about humans being human beings.

VAR calls back a Wolves goal and temporarily saves Fulham's bacon. Halftime.

I switched over to holes 15 and 16 of the masters because of the goal. I guess I will have to turn it back on after the half.

Jedi delivering two real chances that went wide the one by Loftys Cheek should have been put on target. Would like to see him cut in more but it’s not my game plan.
