I wasn't able to see the game on TV, no thanks to the JERKS from Time Warner Cable in Austin ("shootout package expired in October" my ass) . Anyway I read the summary of the match and Ante was shown a red card late in the game. But it didn't mentioned why he was sent off. For those who saw the match please tell me what happened? (If he's lost his temper in the match, I would not be surprised.)
Razov was marked pretty effectively all match by Heaps. As the match was drawing to a close, Razov and Heaps tangled and Razov stomped on Heaps' left thigh. Multiply the force of the Mathis red by about 10x. It was pretty classless.
But Bradley and Beasley said in the paper yesterday that the Fire was gonna win the Cup. Maybe Ante was just confused. What do you expect from the fire when they are in a helpless situation? I'm just suprised Stoichkov didn't leave the bench to help out Razov with teh stomping. Completely classless. Way to go out graciously Fire.
Ante Razov Sucks My Arse! (I posted this on another thread as well, but it works here too.) Sung to the tune of "London Bridge is Falling Down": Ante Razov Sucks My Arse, Sucks My Arse, Sucks My Arse. Ante Razov Sucks My Arse... And so does CJ Brown. PS: I have nothing against CJ Brown. The tune just wouldn't work with Hristo Stoitchkov.
Has anyone ever seen the Fire lose a game in which they didn't try to injure an opponent sometime near the end of it? What a bunch of hacks.
I have! But, true to the rest of the thread, it was a fairly classless way to bow out. Trust me, Fire fans are not applauding Razovs stupid move.
,.., it's true, several FIRE fans have been gracious enough to go over to the REVS board and offer congrats and admit that Razov is a classless turd monkey
just to add to the description....when heaps was on the ground after the tangle.... razov took a step, lifted his right leg and stomped on the inside thigh of heaps....the ball was well gone.... really unbelievable.... never like razov....never will....he's a selfish prick.
Obviously Razov shouldn't have done that. Heaps and Pierce didnt' help by being complete assh()les the whole game. Also, for whatever you guys say Ante was definately trying out there last night. He didn't mail it in like others on the Fire. He was running, and he got off some great shots. Ante seems to have a lot of passion. I guess a Fire fan would be better, as I've only seen him play for Chicago about 6 or 7 times. He cares for the team, and you know what. I'd rather have a player like that on my team, then someone like Pierce who is a little punk. A player who goes out and irritates players, because of his lack of skill. His late tackle on Curtin was absolutely ridiculous. Sure, he thought he could get the ball, but the sweeping tackle could have broken an ankle or something. Anyway, I was happy with the match. Fairly well played, and hopefully this means larger attendence in the semifinals, and hopefully beyond.
Suspend him for at least three games next season, fine him a stiff penalty this season. This goes along with the thread complaining about player dissent. The players are out of control.
The weird thing about it to me was that Razov didn't seem real pissed off about it afterwards. Obviously there was nothing he could say about it, but he just stood there for like a minute, then walked off. I did notice he had a couple choice words for the fans as he was walking into the tunnel. I'd love to hear what he was saying, although I can probably guess the gist of it.
I just want to know was it the left foot Ante used to stomp on Heaps? I did not see it but my guess is it was the left since he can't do jack ************ with the right foot sorry arse one legged sloth. Can you say USMNT-not ever again bra
At least when Mathis did something similar he had a "what the hell did I just do?" look on his face. I wonder if Clint's stomp will affect Ante's punishment. If Rasov gets a stiff suspension, Clint might also be in line for one. You could argue that Rasov kicked Heaps harder than Mathis kicked Alegria, but they were both intentional acts against players lying down on the pitch.
don't compare Clint's with Razov's. Clint was right where the guy was and Ante had to turn around, walk over to, and spike the guy on the upper thigh. If Clint's was a red, Ante's is a red and a 3 game suspension and a fine. It was assault.
