another yvonne crazy experience

i know i haven't posted in awhile and some of the new faces won't be able to appreciate the randomness of this story, but the many of you who know me will find this just crazy (or for me, maybe not all that crazy).

okay, so im about to graduate college and have been pretty busy with school so i havent been keeping up with my beloved tar heels as much as i have in the past.

so i go to georgia southern and our girls and guys rugby teams had a tournement in clemson on sat & sunday. so sunday morning (after a night of hard core partying) i stumble down stairs in a tshirt and boxers looking like pure trash. i was disgusting.

so i make it to the lobby and find the unc womens soccer team but i didnt realize it was them until i recognize this guy sitting down drinking coffee. im just staring at him completely confused. then he goes "Yvonne????" and im like "mr ducar?" at this point i have to pinch myself because this was just too frickin weird - i really felt like i was in dream because its like i was in place with all my friends and then all the sudden a group of other people (not your ordinary people at that) suddenly appear in the picture.

of course all the unc girls are like just as confused as i am because them chris and i start talking discussing why i was there and how tracy's doing and everything in between. as ive said a trillion times before he is frickin awesome and its still weird to think that he recognized me even with how trashy i was looking.

and just a note, i resisted on asking the girls for pictures and stuff. that was not about to happen.

i hope everyone has been enjoying themselves. i miss y'all and i'll defintely keep in touch and check back occassionally.

i so miss the fun times and when we used to read each others experiences like in total awe (you know that feeling where our hearts were beating so fast because someone got to attend a uswnt practice and give the team cookies). and then how about the times during chats when a player would make a reference to one of us (ex: maria made tish feel "intimate"). now its became like no big deal at all... a while ago sara mentioned the underwear in si for w and i didnt even buy that issue.

oh and we can so take total credit for millie's injury time goal in the 02 olympics. those are the things that make me smile. and how many times have we literally cried for "our girls"? thinking about it now it seems silly but back then i couldn't help it.

and if 3 years ago chris ducar recognized me in a hotel lobby i wouldve fainted. siriously. now its like i go to breakers games and tracy mingling with me is no big deal at all - i honestly consider the ducars as friends.

im going to start a thread for memories that we have of our times with the uswnt.
