Interesting pedigree. Not many US college players go straight to EPL teams. Looks a bit like a Hill-type player trying to re-establish himself in MLS.
So that means he'll show a lot of promise as a contributor to the team and be rewarded with 15 minutes of playing time once every fifth match? Sorry, I'm doing my best to contain my bitterness...
The more bodies competing for midfield spots, the better. Other than Mullan, can't say anyone deserves an auto-start there right now, based on results.
I remember him. David moyes signed him straight from the Ventura county fusion. It was pretty shocking. I have no idea how good he is but moyes must have seen some potential. Pretty sure this isn't his first Mls trial though. Think he was with the whitecaps for a bit
Wow - good memory!!! (http://blogs.theprovince.com/2012/06/05/midfielder-anton-peterlin-on-trial-with-whitecaps/)
I like that Moyes saw something in him. I don't like that it didn't work out. Is he the next Hill, or the next Dalby? Is Hill on the Dalby track (I like to think not since I see some play in Hill)? I think a lot of these guys get agents when they're still young that can make a few things happen, but the agents are so hungry that they aren't realistic about those things actually working out.
