The non-scandal that was heard arond the right wing web: Every single document that contained a date that was posted by Matt Taibbi was dated prior to January 20, 2021, which was… *checks notes* during the Trump Administration. pic.twitter.com/Vi6glDpAXE— Teddy Wilson 🏴☠️ (@reportbywilson) December 3, 2022 so Elon Musk throws Matt Taibbi thousands of documents for the Twitter Files & Taibbi himself claims he saw evidence implicating Trump’s White House, the actual administration in power, and Taibbi decides to…dive into the Hunter Biden stuff!!lmao pic.twitter.com/vewqjDEGcy— Matt Binder (@MattBinder) December 3, 2022 Shortened version of taibbis rant: Twitter blocked naked pictures of Hunter Biden stolen from his computer and engaged in complex discussions on moderation. I guess Taibbi and Elon are pro-revenge porn too.— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) December 3, 2022 This wholly anodyne Taibbi thread is unwitting evidence of a much bigger bummer: every day, American conservatives seem to sink deeper into a dirtscape of utter nonsense — of gibberish code words and inscrutable signals that mean nothing to normal people.— Dan Cluchey (@dancluchey) December 3, 2022
NY Times doesn’t bite: Musk is basically handing over investigative pieces to opinion writers. So we have no idea about how much their opinions shape the story, or how much basic fact checking has been done. Not promising that they refuse to share the materials the stories are based on. pic.twitter.com/IIFAYoJbe4— Don Moynihan (@donmoyn) December 5, 2022
This DC media society is bipartisan. It supports the right wing and the left wing. New from me: If you consume political news, there’s a very good chance the person you’re getting it from is a Philadelphia Eagles fan. https://t.co/C3ART3MT8P— Bryan Curtis (@bryancurtis) December 9, 2022

Carry water for a billionaire, get an “empire”.. This Axios puff piece about Bari Weiss's "media startup" is incredible. It's 826 words (that's basically Ulysses by Axios standards) and the word "conservative" is only one of them -- and it appears only in quote in which Weiss herself claims to speak to both Left and Right. https://t.co/M9jvt06rl0— Jamison Foser (@jamisonfoser) December 14, 2022

Matty thinks Baristas set coffee prices… Maybe! Though it's also possible that college professors whose day job is charging sky-high tuition to the children of the American upper class could find themselves looking at these questions through a distorted lens that lacks pragmatism. pic.twitter.com/d9WVuqYDkE— Matthew Yglesias (@mattyglesias) December 27, 2022 questions of medical cost. That is, it's just a profoundly dumb statement, lacking any perspective or grounding in reality. 2/2— Sam Brunson (@smbrnsn) December 29, 2022
When I open my browser on this computer, it defaults to some trashy Yahoo! competitor, I think supplied by Bing. Among the website's main themes are crimes that occur in white neighborhoods of Chicago. Pretty much any crime that happens in white Chicago is turned into a blaring headline, thereby supporting the GOP narrative of crime gone rampant in white Chicago. Look in vain for any reporting about things that happen in Black or Latino neighborhoods. Or about the fact that homicides declined by 15% in Chicago in 2022, year over year.
So apparently murderers are leaving minority hoods to attack whites and you're OK WITH THAT!!! REPLACER! REPLACER!!!! -Mac from Deerfield.
Now let's talk about how lower violent crime is bad for Democrats, right after this commercial break.

Any article covering the debt ceiling discussion that does not open by explaining that raising the debt ceiling is a routine administrative procedure that occurred 3x during the Trump administration is an article that covertly carries a conservative bias. Which means basically all of them, doesn't it?
This is what stunned me about the original Obama debt ceiling fiasco. If you want to debate the policy and budget of the government, then win elections and set the budget via the legislative process. This is completely unconstitutional.

To misquote Senator Reid "They can call it whatever they want. Romney [Trump] didn't win did he?" https://www.cjr.org/special_report/trumped-up-press-versus-president-ed-note.php/ What follows is the story of Trump, Russia, and the press. Trump’s attacks against media outlets and individual reporters are a well-known theme of his campaigns. But news outlets and watchdogs haven’t been as forthright in examining their own Trump-Russia coverage, which includes serious flaws. Bob Woodward, of the Post, told me that news coverage of the Russia inquiry ” wasn’t handled well” and that he thought viewers and readers had been “cheated.” He urged newsrooms to “walk down the painful road of introspection.”
