Media bias is worth a point or two every election…why do Democrats continue to play on an uneven playing field?
I am not too concerned about it, I am pretty sure Tapper and the politico dude are about to release their new bombshell book on there obvious mental decline and decay of the current commander in chief. Can't wait to read the revelations in that book.
I’m absolutely positive that in Tapper’s own mind, the fact he’s getting criticized by both sides means he’s doing a good job. No, it just means he’s did 2 awful things. First, as GOPs are pointing out, he hid relevant info about Biden when Biden was still running, and second, as bad as Biden was at that debate it’s obvious Trump’s mental state is much worse…not even accounting for the fact that even when Trump is lucid he suffers from, well, all the deficiencies that make Trump Trump (incurious, racist, ignorant, etc.)
This dunce is truly on a mission......For someone to say this with a straight face...SMFH. CNN anchor Jake Tapper criticized the Biden White House’s reported concealment of the president’s cognitive decline as “maybe even worse than Watergate” – one of the darkest chapters in American political history. https://www.mediaite.com/media/tv/j...decline-cover-up-may-be-worse-than-watergate/
If Tapper said, for example, that Russiagate was worse than Watergate, he’d be attacked by the vast majority of the Republican Party. But as a clever striver, he’d never do that because he knows better. A problem with our politics is that mainstream journos are afraid to tell the truth about Republicans, and afraid not to lie about Democrats.
Worth the 10 seconds it’ll take to click https://bsky.app/profile/didlc:swgxwbir4rrimj57pf75jckf/post/3lpnbz6lxqs27?ref_src=embed&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com%2F2025%2F05%2Ftesla-sales-tanking-in-europe-elon-will-try-to-conceal-his-far-right-political-actions If you don’t want to…one of the staples of modern political reporting is that if a rich powerful conservative says something, it’s treated as true. Journos don’t evaluate their claims. So all but the most obsessive news readers will believe the lie, which gives a huge, huge advantage to sociopaths.
It's the Beast but sounds plausible enough: https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-view-told-to-tone-down-trump-bashing-by-abc-news-boss/ Disney told The View to stop being so mean to our Dictator. As if that'll spare Bob the wrath of the petulant child.
Someone taped “Musk is a Nazi” to Chris Cilizza’s Tesla. So he wrote a column about that. https://www.thedailybeast.com/please-leave-my-tesla-aloneits-not-a-political-statement/
Whaddaya expect? They shouldn't be talking about politics, that's a man's world. They should talk about chick stuff, like recipes.
Or for ********s sake….Politico is using AI https://www.wired.com/story/politico-workers-axel-springer-artificial-intelligence/
This is a tweet from Terry Moran. He has since deleted it, and ABC has suspended him. Here’s my question: what is the “right” way to do this? Obviously Moran is out at ABC. Even though what he wrote is true, a news organization isn’t going to keep someone who writes this. So what should he have done? What should his next step be; take on the role of sounding the klaxon? I’ll say this…Moran’s great grandchildren are gonna be 1000 times more proud of him than Tapper’s will of his.
Like Hillary before him, he made the most fundamental sin in Washington politics: he told the truth. Modern News isn't interested in truth, they want sensationalism. They want their mergers and stock buy back and all that jazz to be approved by the Dictator. They don't want to lose their media licence.
The NYT did a story on Mamdani’s college application. You can find the deets if you poke around. Anyway, the story came about because a wingnut had some info from computer hacking that he passed on to the Times.
I saw that headline and was not surprised that the NYT would chip away at the scary muslim socialist candidate for mayor.
It gets worse. TFNYT pushed to publish the story because they didn’t want to get scooped by Christopher Goddamn Rufo. https://www.semafor.com/article/07/...avoid-being-scooped-on-mamdani-columbia-story The NYT plays a major role in setting the national agenda, so I think it’s a big, big problem that Jeffries and Schumer are both New Yorkers. It’s going to be incredibly difficult for Dems to start treating the Times like the enemy with those two as our national leaders. I don’t think I’ve ever been this pessimistic about the Democratic Party, not even in the wake of 1994. Imagine you’re me. UNC football is led by Belichik, which is going to be funny but a failure. Hubert Davis ain’t it. DC United is arguably the worst franchise in the league this decade. The Carolina Panthers are the NFL equivalent. The Democratic Party is horrible. America is horrible. The Fed is horrible. If I cared about the Hornets, they’re horrible too. And the Hurricanes, the only competent thing in my life, don’t play for another couple months.
Here’s a story from last August. Compare and contrast, as they say. https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/13/media/trump-campaign-hack-news-media-report-iran-wikileaks NYT delenda est.
In 2016 Steve Bannon said that the only person he feared during Trump's campaign was Jeffrey Epstein. This came out in a book in 2021. Everything in the news about Trump and Epstein could have come out a long time ago - during his first Presidency, during his second campaign. It only started to be an issue when Musk made it one during his and Trump's Twitter spat. I can't think of a better way to put to bed the lie about a liberal media.
https://gizmodo.com/fcc-to-appoint-a-babysitter-to-make-sure-cbs-isnt-anti-trump-2000634566 Th FCC is going to appoint an ombudsman to Skydance/Paramount to ensure fair coverage of Trump. The Democratic position should be fine, but watch out because we’re gonna do the same thing when we get the chance.
No kidding. They jump at their own shadow and bow down when a threat is vaguely spoken, much less actually given.
I wouldn’t be so sure since they’ve never tried that. In fact, I don’t think k even GOPers have tried that tactic. Maybe McConnell on the filibuster for judges.
