Mark Muleady of USF: http://usfdons.ocsn.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/102802aaa.html 2002 USF roster: http://usfdons.ocsn.com/sports/m-soccer/mtt/sanf-m-soccer-mtt.html Of course this is just a recent trend. We'll need to see how he pans out over the rest of the season and the next year (or two). Only a sophomore.
Why draft a keeper? We have Cannon, and even if he leaves/we lose him, the keeper is the position to worry about least (although BenReilly apparently disagrees.) Maybe so, but we should probably aim for youth on defense or on offense (unless there's a forward/keeper that's just too phenomenally good to pass up.)
Keepers are not a priority on the Quakes unless someone (either Joe or Jon) bolts. Drafting a midfielder and/or forward is. Depending on any further departures, there's now a few slots open given the three who were waived. What I'm waiting to see is if the reserve unit gets created. That would make the waiver wire close to moot since "on the bubble" players could be kept under that system. Otherwise, one probably would be pryed from the "A" or be a late pick.
