Marshall Leonard is out for the season with a torn Achilles tendon. He had surgery yesterday. He's a hard worker, I hate to see him out.

Oh, that's terrible. He's not the greatest player, but as you said, he's a real hard worker, and he's a wicked nice guy to boot. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery, because he's what we need for depth over the long haul.

As the fish said when he ran into a wall:

    DAM!

    We needed him this summer.

I don't wish him hurt but this may force SN & management to actually do something. Marshall was not the answer and now's he's not even an option.

Could this be Cancela's chance? Move Dorman to the wing, put Pepe in his rightful spot?

Interesting, that might work...but it's been repeatedly shown Cancela's really not a 90 minute guy. Who've you got in mind to come in at 75?

Depends on what the back line looks like - if we're talking Heaps-Parkhurst-Hernandez, then Riley in, Dorman to the middle. If we're talking Heaps-Hernandez-Riley, then maybe de Oliveira, Lochhead, or Sims, again moving Dorman back into the middle to take pressure off the newbie.

Wow all this talk about the left wing ... where are all the people that were trumpeting Lochhead as our star on the left wing starting game 1? Where'd they go?

Do you have current info or are you just going with the Cap info from last season? I'm not sure it's safe to make assumptions about this years Cap based on last years info.

Any word on when Khano Smith is going to be back?

Does a season ending injury at this point of the season allow the Revs to fill that Roster slot? Reuse that Cap?

we had almost $600k to blow. Nothing in the world makes me think anything changed even close to that. avg salary is 60-80. I'm sure we can come up with that

What other basis for asumptions would you use? I think it's fairly safe.

This team's refusal to part with money is as inscrutable as it is exasperating. Last year the team burned over 500K in Cap. Simply burned it.

    This year...?

I think making any assumption about the business practices/data of the Revs is at best problematic and in reality we have so little real solid information and a context within which to evaluate any information we do have, that anyone outside of Rev Management who thinks they know the FACTS about what is really going on behind their "wall of silence" is kidding themselves.

My sister and I found it sadly ironic that Heaps introduced him at Meet the Revs as one of the more "durable" guys on the team, and then less then a week later, he gets a freak injury that takes him out for the year. 'Tis a shame.

Something in the above statement is not matching---Heaps is healthy---Leonard is out for the year.

Read it again, it makes perfect sense.

It's not the best use of antecedents and pronouns, but it does work in context.

I didn't go that far, but I did say that I thought that by the end of the year we'd be pleased with Lochhead's contribution.

He is due back in time for Sunday's game, and has had a few high-level matches and training this week, so this could be a golden opportunity for him.

Looks like we might not have Noonan either. Maybe Willie Sims will get his chance?

yes, but they've been asked 571395792305 times before and if you actually had the answers, I would drive down to gillette, kill everone, make it a dictatorship and install you as king. Having said that, I have a few candidates I'd like to install (and don't worry, I'm not one... I'll be the supreme ayatollya)
