Yes - here is now the proof that we are definitely way behind in world soccer. First it was the CCC and now this... Soccer has been set back another 20-30 years... We might as well disband all of our national teams and tell Adu to go play for the "Poets."

    Any thoughts?

Huh. Marine guys trained in warfare and wearing combat boots lost badly to guys who play a lot.

    Cap those Iraqi guys now!

600 locals watched the game? Looked like the were only 250 to me.

Mike, play nice with the new kids.

This has nothing to do with MLS unfortunately so I'm moving the thread to a different forum.

It was clearly not the A-team on the field. The Marines were trying out a new formation. And I can't help but think ABMOD had something to do with this.

They used MLS numbers. 250 showed up but they called it 600

Any word on how well the game was marketed? I'm sure they didn't run good ads or anything to get the people to come out.
