Nowak has been traded to New England, a team I'm not liking more and more. I was one of the Burn fans who wanted NE to win the MLS Cup, but then I realized that I don't think they deserved it or any of their fame. They had a losing season and still got home field advantage throughout the playoffs becuase they were in the East which was relatively weaker than our West. This is why I think we should go to a straight table to determine the playoffs, but thats another discussion. Bottom line, our Red and Black had a great spread out season and we weren't rewarded the same way NE was with their late season surge. That and Nowak make NE less popular with me.

This trade gives New England a midfield schemer. Do they still have Alex Pineda Chacon? Forget Earnie Stewart, I would rather have Chacon. He should be well rested.

I was thinking the same thing a couple of months back. They don't use him and hell he was the 2001 MVP!

You know Scipio you and I must have totally different ideas about soccer.... You couldn't pay me to take Chacon. Chacon is Old and Slow.

Stewart just came off a great world Cup and is on top of his game. Major US Name (if such s thing can really happen in the 5th sport.)

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Stoichkov, Nowak, et al aren't worth the money because they are so old. Frequently they are injured, and that is starting to hit Stewart a lot lately.

    Here was my thinking.
    1. They don't use APC.
    2. Nowak makes him even more expendable.
    3. He is versitile. He can start at forward, then in the seond half, Jeffries can take out Oscar, send in EJ, and slide APC back into the a mid role.

Then I remembered he was only a year and a half younger than Oscar, and it made less sense. Earnie could play the same role, though in his younger years, he was the classic Dutch winger, his game has expanded far beyond that.

We have already gouged New England twice. Now, we should gouge New York. Give them Vaca, but get a lot more than the offers we have been reading.

Remember, Buzz, we agree on Capano. And without Dema and Nowak, we will probably see him.

Oh yes, that may the best part of the trade. Copano is gonna get some serious PT. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing him play more.

    1. NE will be cutting APC to create the cap room to sign Nowak.

    2. Nowak can't last a full MLS season anymore--too injury prone. He's still one of the top 3 A-mids in MLS.

JUST FOUND THIS: Josh Wolf sent to K.C. for draft pick. Well Chicago are going to be an easy dish this year. Plus another reason to hate K.C.
