This time, it was Jeremy St. Louis' fault. He pronounced the "do" in "Copa do Brasil" incorrectly. He was pronouncing it "Copa DOO Brasil" and not "Copa DOUGH Brasil". The latter is the correct pronunciation. It's nice to see the highlights and the fact that there is a show, but I wish these people would get it right and be a little more professional. Aren't there pronunciation guides or something?!
Why wait that long? Just have a guy (or girl) standing off stage with a pistol. Could add a sense of drama to the show, the "Who's going to get it in the back of the head THIS episode?" factor...
Michelle Listle the other night. Juventos (as in Mentos). Maybe right, maybe casue she's a Canuck, just sounded weird.
This just reminded me.....they were pronouncing Joos Valgaeren's name wrong in the UEFA Cup Final. It was being pronounced Vál-gagin when it's really Valharen.
Carlos Machado also butchered Mario Melchiot's lat name. It should be "MEL-kee-yot". But instead, he pronounced it "MEL-shee-yoh". Go figure.
Homer: "Wait a minute. Bart's teacher is named Krabappel? I've been calling her Crandall! Why didn't someone tell me? Oh, I've been making an idiot out of myself!"
