It's Issey's former club. With the inexperienced group we're having down in Florida I think it's good opposition for them and it will also expose some of the younger guys without clubs. You never know, maybe one of the guys will impress the Veijle coaching staff.

The story is that we were set to play Guatemala but they changed that at the last second so I guess the CSA did a decent job finding another opponent.

Canada won their exhibition game vs Danish club Vejle Boldklub. 2-0 They call it a closed-door match ... Goal scorers: Gbeke and Issey. Both goals in the first half. Greg Sutton played in the game.

Vejle Boldklub is in the Danish 2nd-best division (1st Div.) ....they are leading their division after 15 games.

thanks guppy, i was wondering what happened today i couldn't find anything earlier... so i guess this looks somewhat promising for our u-23's. but it would be nice to see a full u-23 team against the usa or mexico to see where we actually stand.

    good job canada!

Actually. Sutton and Wagenaar shared the shutout in goal.
