Fox Sports World will be airing a game tonight at 8pm which was played yesterday in Brazil. I watched it Live on Brazilian Globo TV on DISH. IT was a GREAT GREAT MATCH. DO NOT MISS IT!!

I occasionally HIGHLY recommend Brazilian matches on FOX and those that follow my advice know that these games DO NOT dissapoint.

Tonights game is between VASCO DA GAMA x SAO PAULO (1st place in league).

HELL OF A MATCH. If you have FOX...WATCH IT! It repeats Friday 11AM and Saturday 2AM EST.

THRILLING SOCCER....one of the Brazilian game of the years. Thats all I will say so not to spoil it. The game will be played here:

No offense Scout, but it's become a bit of the "boy who cried wolf" with you. I know you love your futebol, but you've proclaimed so many dud games as "GREAT!" that I've become suspicious.

I saw the 2nd half of the match (I missed the 1st half due to me being at work) and it was a very good match. Scout, don't pay any attention to what dawg says. He wouldn't care less about the game anyway.

I won't give out the results but expect a lot of passion out there. :)

I only saw the first half, but the amount of diving and simulation in this match was atrocious.

Mottermann...thats too bad you only saw the first half. You cant judge a movie if you walk out 30 minutes into it...same as a soccer game.

    Dawg,
Crying wolf? Please...Ive posted about 3 or 4 times "Dont miss games" on Fox. Based on the anouncers reaction post game and those that ACTUALLY watch the game its clear that Im not crying wolf. I wouldnt tell people to watch a dull game.

    Prenn,
Well next time you know of a GREAT game like Bolton v WB...let us know, no use keeping it to yourself.

Games on Fox right now again in case you missed it.

A game that has eight goals is bound to be great...unless you're a Saudi.

Well Prenn, the point of my post is that I post it AFTER I see the game and BEFORE it airs on Fox, so I know for a fact that the game is GREAT in reality and not just on paper.

If it's anything like our Baggies 4 Bolton 4 from April(ish) 2000, you'll be right. That was an emotional game given we were in the thick of a relegation battle. 3-3 going into injury time, Adam Oliver scores what looks like the winner only for Bolton to run down the other end and score before we'd even finished our Boinging.

I only saw the second half and if you left the room for a second you missed something. Very different than the usual defensive Brazillian game.

Personally I dont think Brazilian soccer is very defensive. The Goals per game average of this years Brazilian championship is the highest ever and in 2001 and 2000 they were also very high.
3x2 in Brazilian soccer is quite common and 0-0 are extremely rare. I wish I had the stats to prove it, maybe I can find it somewhere.

I am really comparing it to it's national team play. When I first started watching the Brazilian league I thought all the teams would be filled with Peles, Ronaldos and such with beautiful attacking soccer. The beautiful game. What I see a lot of is players hacking each other a lot whenever a good offensive chance is developing. There are times when the skill is evident just not to the degree I thought it would be.
