I think he was the drunk Gary Cooper lets out of jail just before Frank Miller pulls into town in High Noon. He was relatively young and slender then. I remember him mainly from Disney films and Support Your Local Gunfighter. He probably wrote tone poems in Aramaic when he wasn't playing drunks.
