Yesterday I had whatever the Porter is called that River Market Brewery makes. Really enjoyed it. Strangely, I don't like coffee, but love strong coffee flavors in my beer like that one.
http://www.bjcp.org/styles04/Category9.html#style9D Irish ales tend to be one of the styles that people have different interpolations of. I definitely don't have the problem with Blvd that a lot of people here seem to.
So last week was dry rush, so I didn't drink anything. Then this last weekend I went and saw my brother in Maryville, and didn't drink anything. Tomorrow we have the day off from school for teachers conferences or something and we have a big party tonight... gonna live it up, right? Wrong, got nailed with sober driving. Could life get any worse? I am beginning to feel like the guys who had to live through prohibition. Except people will be drinking in front of me, so it will be even worse.
kids these days drive sober? uh weird things kids do these days in college on a serious note, drinking isn't everything, even at college.
I had a six pack or so of Boulevards Irish Ale last year and I thought it was alright. I'd drink it again.
Mine were actually old because the guy who owns the liquor store that my friend used to work at really likes it so he orders a whole bunch and always has leftovers for a month or two into the next season.
Chris emailed this yesterday, but I thought it was too funny to not post here It's called Investment Something to consider.... If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00. With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left. If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling refund, you would have had $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle. It's called the 401-Keg Plan.
Okay, I understand this is a joke and not to be taken too seriously, but there is just no ********ing way that you could muster 214 bucks out of aluminum cans for beer only worth $1000. Even if you got the cheapest beer ever for $10 bucks a 30 pack thats only 3000 cans for 1000 dollars, then considering you get at most 10 cents a can, that's a very very generous $30.00 in recycled funds.
You do need alcohol, I have seen those test before. I worked for an insurance company for 3 years and worked with actuaries before. They have the potential to make some really good money though. Good luck to you.
Breaking News 75th st. brewery is on fire and surrounding buildings go up with it. never mind bad info Kennedy's bar and grill not 75th st.
i had one of my first legal beers at Kennedy's... i live right near there... at work now but watching on the news...

vividox, good luck on your actuary test. You may need it. a math major with a daughter who is an FSA!
My empty Corona bottle is now worth about the same as my $1000 investment in McLeod, so I ain't so smart either.
So I understand, through the hop vine, that along with the Luna Ale that Blvd. is releasing they're going to have three more year round beers. I have heard possibly a dark wheat. Does anyone know what the styles will be?
