I sent the following e-mail this morning, let's load em up again this season.
    The address is mlsgear@starstruck.com

    Sirs,
I would like to make a suggestion regarding marketing of MLS gear, and the league in general.
Sign a contract with the company responsible for marketing NASCAR, and do it soon. Over the last 10 years or so, NASCAR has gone from "them good ol' boys that turn left" to a multi-million dollar cash cow. Probably 75% of the people in my town have a NASCAR sticker on their vehicle.
The league is losing MILLIONS in sales due to poor selection, and in rural areas, no presence. I live about 60 miles from RFK, in Virginia, most people I talk to have never heard of a pro soccer league in the US.
Placing MLS products in the national chain athletic shops, as well as Sears, Penney's, Kohl's, etc. would be just a start. An expanded line of kids apparel, including replica kits, and replica kit PJ's is just one place to start.
Although I applaud the soccer show that will be coming on FSW this season, midnight eastern time will only draw the hardest core cadre of fans, not expose new fans. This time slot will miss the youth fan base, the dollar earners of tomorrow, and their parents, the dollar spenders of today.
Major league soccer is GREAT, and soccer is on the rise in the US, the time to make a major improvement in market exposure and selection of products is NOW.

P.S. While we're at it, how about making a DC United coffee mug. Don't make me have to go to CafePress and make my own.
