Our players are not good enough? I wonder why? http://www.cybersoccernews.com/mls/crew/040717crew-revs.shtml
So 15 games into the season and, according to Coach Numbnuts, we're still "settling into the mold"? Excuse the hell out of me, you puffed up pile of monkey vomit, but exactly whose goddam job is it to put the team together and make it work? How many seasons does it take for your methods to work? If Bruce Arena needed 15 games to get his damn point across to the Nats, he'd be out on the street, which is where you belong you mongoloid. This is just absurd. This outfit has been together since the end of January, day in and day out, and they still haven't gotten it? I have news for you, imbecile, either you picked up a roving band of retards or you stink as a coach. Shameful.
I completely agree that Greg needs to start putting some responsibility on his shoulders and not just sit there and dish it out towards his team. If I was a player, I'd be pissed off that he can't admit that he's responsible for this team's lack of results and general poor coaching. His comments just sound terrible.
Hey everyone knows these results are Testo and Scott's fault because they aren't stepping up when given the chance.
"But it was Andrulis who made the Crew's most memorable move when he sent Chris Wingert in for Eric Denton... -After starting Craphino for 14 games, it was shocking. "Andrulis was unsparing in his mid-season assessment..." -Unsparingly blaming others. "It's got to be a team effort for ninety minutes."(Andrulis) -You didn't figure that out last year Einstein? However, accordilng to this articles scoring summary, the Crew won 2-0.
First of all, I'm no fan of Andrulis. Our brand of soccer is about as boring as it gets in this league. His comment about it taking 15 games (or more) to gell doesn't really bother me too much. Look at NE the last two years. They sucked (and were not playing attractive soccer) for the better part of each regular season and both years came on strong at the end. Furthermore, this is MLS where 8 of 10 teams make the play-offs so you can afford to take the time to get things together. Now the question is, will we? I don't see it but I'd like to think so. Maybe we just need a change of direction .
It is statements like this that have us mired in mediocrity. Look at NE the last two years. Sure they sucked early in the season, but at least that got them some hardware... oh wait, it didn't. However, at least they made some good runs and had a fun time coming up short. It all boils down to this being the 7th month since the Druler brought this team together and we are still trying to "gell." About the best we can hope for this year is to finish above DC in 4th place, squeak into the playoffs, and then get bumped after a decent cup run because we needed another 14 months for the team to "gell."
I see your point(s). At the same time I don't think the only problem is Andrulis' coaching, or lack thereof. Furthermore, would you rather the team "gell" now or at the end of the season. Many times team start hitting on all cylinders early and then when the play-offs come around they are out in the first round. Hardware or no hardware, making the MLS Cup (as NE did) would be an accomplishment for this franchise right now. It would hopefully ease some of the attendance issues. If not, then I might start to worry.
If it takes reaching MLS Cup to alleave the attendance woes of this club, than we are in big trouble. Might as well forget about getting good turn outs for the rest of this season and start figuring out how to fix the team for next year.
