He also had a goal called back early in the game for a questionable offsides. He also was taken down in the box for the pk he took and scored. He had an assist on one of the two earlier goals.
Another week, another goal for Wooten: http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...er-sv-bor-108_1-fc-kaiserslautern-ii-130.html
Official/Unoffical Highlights from Wuppertaler SV The camera work is atrocious, but the quality of the video is good. I still have not idea what the camera man was doing from 2-3 minutes marks. Wooten is number 10 in white. At the 3:10 mark you see the the tail end of Wooten's goal.
We know this kid can score with the second team in lower division games. At this point, all I care about with Wooten is when he gets rewarded by dressing for, and playing in, first team games.
It seems we are looking at second team players in Gyau, Woods, Renken (U19), even non professionals Hurzeler. I have no problem keeping tabs on Wooten's 2nd team success as a basis for Olympic possibilites and his development for future callups.
Wooten played 90 in a 0-0 with Leverkusan's reserves. He was fouled pretty hard in the box when he went up for a ball that went for a no call. The second photo in the link is Wooten holding the ball away from the defender.
Wooten scored twice in Kaiserslautern II's 4-2 win over Eintracht Trier Kaiserslautern had a weakened side with only three players on the bench due to a flu outbreak.
Hmmm...maybe he should stay over the winter break and try to make some advances toward the first team?
The time he is in the US Kaiserslautern have a League game on the 18th and a Cup game on the 21st, he is not going to "make some advances toward the first team" in that time. The reserve team is on winter break because a lot of teams at that level do not have heated fields and Kaiserslautern played a game earlier in the year to avoid snow cancellation. First team does not go into winter training until late December/early January.
BVB II has a game on December 17, so no Boyd. Kaiserslautern II played the game for that week earlier in the year. Same is true with Nürnberg II, which is why Jann George is available. The Regionalliga used to be plagued by a ton of canceled games in December so they are trying a different schedule this year.
Match Report They gave up a goal in the 90th minute. Wooten had several shots on goal early in the game. A couple minutes after his goal in the 81st minute, Wooten had a goal wrongly disallowed for offsides.
I'm not sure what playing level is right for Wooten but one would have to assume he is ready an upgrade. He's racking up a fair amount of goals and seems to be, week in and week out, the player for FCKII. I hope a club in 2nd BL or even a promotion chasing club in the 3rd BL is paying attention.
