He's definitely better physique wise and he's making better decisions now. Just gotta see him do his thing regularly now.

 

Time will tell. Hopefully he can move to another team after this season.

 

This is the year Lainez needs to push for consistent time and show what he can do. I don’t think he’ll be at Betis next year if he has a bad year.

Lainez only played 3 minutes but he helped Betis secure the win.

Wildly effective 3 minutes for Diego Lainez. Came on right at the death, won a corner, then his dummy run from the set piece opened the space for Cristian Tello to score the winner for Betis. Can’t do much more with your time.

Diego Lainez took the corner quick and short to Canales. He then made a dummy run that opened up space for Tello to score.

Betis won 2-0. Lainez was called up for the game but stayed on the bench.

 

Thank god he can start applying for Spanish citizenship in November. He needs to move to a team that will play him.
