Inolvidable lo vivido ayer por el cadismo en una jornada que puede ser un punto de inflexión definitivo en la aventura emprendida por el equipo amarillo allá por los finales del mes de agosto. El cuadro de Víctor Espárrago alcanzó el sobresaliente por la mañana con un sudado y revelador triunfo en Mendizorroza y por la tarde celebró camino de casa que su situación se ve más cómoda tras las derrotas del Éibar y del Elche. Quedan aún once jornadas por delante, pero el panorama se despeja más cada semana y, lo que es mejor, las sensaciones que transmite el Cádiz son de un equipo en camino de hacer algo muy grande.

Poco le quedaba que demostrar tras sus triunfos en Valladolid y Vigo, pero ayer subió un escalón más en su escalada hacia la consolidación definitiva entre los indiscutibles candidatos al ascenso. No es un equipo perfecto, a buen seguro que el preparador uruguayo está sacando el máximo rendimiento del plantel, pero demuestra que sabe apretar los dientes cuando enfrente está un rival que le supera en algo y, sobre la marcha, tiene arrestos para venirse arriba y dar la vuelta a una situación contraria. Ayer, como pasó en Balaídos por momentos de la primera mitad, fue claramente superado por el contrario, pero eso no es suficiente para tumbar a los amarillos.

Sabían los visitantes dónde estaban las virtudes de este Alavés de Cos y Piterman, pero empezó el juego y nada salía como estaba previsto. La movilidad de Nené, Rubén Navarro y De Lucas hacía mucho a las espaldas del doble pivote, lo que provocaba que el Alavés llegara al área en superioridad, lo peor que te puede pasar cuando tienes enfrente a futbolistas de esta calidad. Los alavesistas podían permitirse incluso un juego preciosista, pero afortunadamente las oportunidades de Bodipo no se tradujeron en un gol que parecía inevitable por momentos.

Como en Vigo, la tormenta fue pasando y a la media hora el equilibrio se había alcanzado casi en su plenitud. Eso, gracias a la lectura que hicieron del juego tanto Espárrago como Luis Soler, con la decisión de que cambiara el sistema del habitual 4-2-3-1 a un 4-1-4-1 con Fleurquin como único pivote y con Pavoni incrustrado en un cuarteto de contención y creación. De esta forma se fue calmando el empuje local, aunque a decir verdad el bagaje ofensivo del Cádiz se limitaba a alguna incursión por la derecha de Enrique y un buen control sin continuidad de Jonathan. Sin embargo, la fortuna es caprichosa y gracias a este factor el conjunto amarillo se marchó ganando al descanso, algo impensable. Un buen control de Oli, su pase a Pavoni y el gol de éste tras un rebote. El viento vuelve a estar a favor.

La segunda mitad fue para grabarla en vídeo y, casi en su totalidad, enseñarla a los que no sepan cómo contener un resultado a favor contra un rival de entidad. Fue una exhibición de trabajo e inteligencia y el fiel reflejo de muchas horas en El Rosal. Ya con un gol en la buchaca, el conjunto cadista se encontraba muy a gusto y se permitió el lujo incluso de quitarle el balón al rival para administrarlo como creía oportuno. El esperado acoso del Alavés llegó a cuentagotas por más que Cos no hacía más que sacar atacantes del banquillo, en la enésima muestra de que no todo es poner gol sobre la hierba.

El paso de los minutos provocaba, como era de esperar, la impaciencia del público y la desesperación de los jugadores locales, que se chocaban una y otra vez con el muro puesto por los amarillos, una barrera con movilidad suficiente para hacer un segundo tanto y dar casi por sentenciado el encuentro. Dani Navarrete salió del banco para ser providencial y dio un gran pase a Jonathan, que esta vez no falló ante el portero. Ya Espárrago había sacado a Bezares por Oli en un cambio que cerró todavía más los conductos físicos y mentales de los locales, que no obstante fueron capaces de marcar y poner algo de incertidumbre por medio de Mostovoi. Fue un espejismo porque llegó enseguida el tercero del Cádiz. La explosión de júbilo tras la enésima exhibición.

I don't see Alaves choking as much as Recre not getting the wins when they need them.
Cadiz is on a roll and after trashing the pucelanos 6-1 if they can get wins in their next two games that should almost have them in primera.

Segunda after 40 weeks:

Cadiz is certainly hurting having only won 6 points in last 5 weeks, could only muster 1-1 tie against second from bottom Pontevedra. Next week at home against another second from bottom team Terrassa which also has a chance in avoiding relegation. Recreativo and Eibar both won, Recreativo has won 9 points in last 5 weeks and finally Eibar which won 10 points in last 5 weeks. Cordoba with their win this week in Elche are now only one point from relegation avoidance. Celta became first team to win promotion to Primera and Alaves with a win next week will get the next slot.

Well the relegation zone is complete to include Salamanca which incredibly played Ciudad de Murcia at home and lost 0-2.

As for promotion Alaves is in Primera, Cadiz and Celta control their own destiny a win by both teams gets them to Primera. Eibar has a great chance they own the tie breaker over Celta.

I don't even want to think what would happen if Cadiz loses or ties to Jerez in the Chapin stadium and does not get promoted. You think that General Shermans march to the sea left total destruction on the South, that 30K stretch of N-IV from Jerez to Cadiz will resemble hell as the usual Brigada Amarilla chorizos will trash anything in their paths whether it is secured to the ground or moving. It's a shame! I for one am hoping for a Cadiz victory that way this summer I will be able to see Betis in the SuperCopa and CL and Cadiz in the Carranza playing some top teams!

Campeones Campeones oe oe oe, I just spoke with my sister in law who live on the avenida next to the Carranza stadium and she said that Cadiz was dressed in yellow and the fans are celebrating big time tonite in the tacita de plata. Man what a futbol year!! Betis wins the Copa, qualifies for the CL, finishes ahead of Sevilla FC and finally wins a derby. Cadiz gets promoted to Primera. Rangers win the SFA title in the last 2 minutes of the season, The only downer is Nottingham Forest getting relegated from First to Second Division in England!
