Yeah, we seem to have lost some steam, maybe the mediocre seasons by each of our clubs have got us down. That, and the relegation of Recre are a disappointment, but we still have hope for the Copa del Rey!!

Malaga has been in turmoil of late, deciding not to sign 5-7 players that had been fixtures in the starting 11 for 3-4 years, including Contreras (!!), Bravo, Dario Silva and Sandro. I'm pretty disappointed with the directors of the club, who also showed Joaquin Peiro the door in a rather inaspicious manner, this after 6 years managing the club, bringing them from Segunda to Primera to the UEFA Cup. Although he was the oldest of all managers in Primera (67) he still showed passion and commitment to the team and the fans, and it is sad for many of us to see him treated so poorly after doing so much for the club.

It seems that they are starting from scratch and hoping to sign some big name manager (Serra Ferrer and Luis Fernandez have been mentioned) and maybe a player or two, but with the current financial condition of the club, I am worried that they may not be able to maintain the quality of players and management that have placed Malaga back in Primera where they belong. Next year will be a very important year, and I believe that most of Malaga's fans are not very optimistic.

Maybe Malaga is planning on promoting some of thier B team. Could be dangerous, but sometimes it works out. Let´s hope so.

Sevilla´s season wasn´t so disappointing until the last two games. One thing about Andaluz teams, they will never be accused of laying down for each other. The team really needs to get a target forward to take some heat off of Reyes.

Betis had the best team on paper. But they seemed to be playing tired the last half of the season. That seemed to happen to the Celta teams when Fernandez was there. Better conditioning and they´re potential champions league material. Man, I hate that thought!

Recre finished as expected. While we were all pulling for them, they are a 2nd division team. A good run in the Copa del Rey made their season worthwhile.

There's no other explanation my friend!

At least they had the chance to enter Europe, eventhough they went to Segunda!!!
