DCU gets the first pick in the super draft. They sure left it all on the fierld tonight against Dallas. Hope the Revs play with as much spirit on Saturday night.

With the win tonight Dallas has put pressure on the CRapids (for home field advantage in their upcoming playoff series) so they should really go after KC tomorrow night at home. Ergo by tomorrow night the bottom half of the table should be unchanged:
Crew 38, KC-NY-Revs 35 and Fire 34 setting saturday and Sunday as the gunfight at the MLS corral.

Who will be getting the second pick in the Super Darft?

The DC Dallas game last night was very exciting, although I found it better with the sound turned off. When will Rob Stone learn to shut up?

Can we all agree that Etcheverry is through? He did nothing last night that I can recall.

Although I agree that Etch is past his prime, he did have a great feed to Curtis on the 3rd goal. Great vision!

    Go Revs!!

You're right about Stone - he adds just a tad more than Kato Kaelin or Paul Reubens would. Nothing more than a cheerleader.

I thought that about Etch since the beginning of the year. The guy takes a pounding, though, every match. Plus, who knows what his real age is (Former Rev 'Gato' told me that you can add "four years to every Bolivian or Argentinian's given age" For example, former Bolivian Nat 'keeper, Carlos Trucco, ironically, a native born Argentinian, was really eight years older than his published birthdate).

Against the Revs in their last match at home, Etch was sitting on the bench in front of his locker with about 15 pounds of ice resting on his manhood (no exaggeration). He looked like he was being prepped for embalming. You'll never guess who sat next to him: Chiqui Chacon, sans ice.

Early in the year, I was praying for a trade of Chacon for Milton Reyes. Ray Hudson seemed to want Chacon, and that was when Chacon he had some trade value.

I think Reyes is a terrific player.

For some reason, I don't think the (R) kept anyone from knowing what the result was. But I don't care ... :)

    What JohnnyRev said.

You're not the only one. There are few players in the league I would rather have.

The issue of what to do with APC (and Rooney) will ultimately merit its own thread. It seems all but certain that they will go, will stay in MLS, and should be worth something to someone.

Although i started pulling for united last night....it was ultimately better for us with the dallas win.

dallas has now climbed into the 4 slot with 43 pts and col sits on 42. dal has the t.b. on col...so, if col wants home field they can't draw tonight...they've got to win. if they win tonight, the revs only really need a draw out of tomorrow.

the losses to kc were ugly this year. i'm definitely on col's side tonight. wish i could watch it. st. silva is going to lose control of this match early and it'll get ugly i think.

p.s. just for kicks i set this one up on my playstation and had the computer play it out.....arrrgggh 4-1 kc. kc: preki (pk), simutenkov 1g, fabbro 2g. col: spencer 1g. kc was takin' it to 'em the whole game and once col moved the ball up to carreri on the attack it was like throwing into a black hole everytime. col's only saving graces were pablo and spencer. great saves by both goalies. very up and down game.

i'm afraid to set up ny/nj v ne before tomorrow....but, i think it must be done.
