Not anytime soon. They announced a MGS4 bundle for June, an 80GB PS3 with MGS4 and the rumble controller for $499.

Nobody I know, including myself, bought an Xbox 360 for the HD-DVD drive. We bought it for gaming -- Halo 3 first and foremost.

Exactly. I bought the Xbox 360 for the games. I bought the HD-DVD add-on drive later partly because I already had an Xbox 360, and partly because I thought it'd win the war.

I don't doubt that's true for you, but the fact is that the 360 lost a feature last week. That's going to play into a lot of people's purchasing decisions.

When you consider the HD DVD add on sold under 200,000 and there have been over 18 million 360's sold to say it's going to make an impact is stretching it.

The 360 is known as a gaming machine first and foremost.

BTW, I just purchased another HD DVD add on, for $49 it's worth it considering it'll be a back up. Plus I get 5 free movies and I don't care that the format lost. The movies will still play and look great and a few other them will have more features than their blu-ray counterpart. Not to mention in 10 years I'll probably be buying some new format anyways.
