It's partly because Wenger still has not decided what Ozil's role is.

I get the arguments for not basing the team around Ozil.

But nevertheless Arsenal is the owner of Ozil - so either sell him, or build the team around an Ozil/Xhaka axis.

But this decision cannot continue to be fudged.

I disagree that Ramsey has been good in that role.

He isn't good enough offensively to replace much of Ozil's record goal contribution of 2015/16

And he isn't good enough defensively.

However the 3-4-3 coincides with a period where Arsenal outperformed XG so this might lead us to believe the new formation is working despite the problems.

I think either the team ought to be based around Xhaka and Ozil in which case the 8 needs to be defensively excellent and a great link player OR it should be an energetic 3 man midfield with two 8s (Ramsey is nowhere good enough to play as a 10) and shuffle Ozil wide - like Germany 2014

As I am a big Ozil fan, I always wanted Wenger to sign a very smart player like Marchisio who is positionally savvy and great in the transition

Even Sami K would have been better with one knee

Overall I think Ramsey has ruined his career at Arsenal. He'll soon be 27, lacks pieces to his game that an elite midfielder needs, and is frequently injured.

So I was watching the tunnel cam footage on Youtube and I am like who is this short dude that looks familiar? Santi Cazorla looks like a middle aged Spanish dad. I almost did not recognize him.

I would like martuidi myself next to Xhaka

    He is available apparently

I only know what I have heard about seri and that he is a dlp?? Can he go box to box or does he just sit? Might do some YouTube scouting but then it will make him look like vieira and maka combined with zidane

    Seri is a classic 8
Can go forward , retain possession, shoot and track back

Nice player with a "reasonable" release clause fee

I can see this kid going to juventus .. maybe not this season , and lighting it up and his value going up to 80 mil

I would have been really happy if we got him , mbappe, and kola
And dumped Theo, giroud, Gibbs, chambers, Campbell, etc
Net spending wouldn't have been bad

The numbers make it look like he is more 10 than 8. Seven goals, nine assists and 2.2 key passes per game, while averaging just 1.1 tackles and 1 interception per game.
