http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A9749-2002Sep27.html Let me say that I have no problem with protest. I believe it is an important part of democracy. But the actions of these clowns, whether or not they are a small minority or the majority of the protesters, is that they are delegitamizing dissent. It makes me angry also, because I believe to protect the republic, people need to care and become involved. And these guys claim to care, and to prove it they trash a McDonalds. I have been witness to quite a few of these things, here in New York and in Washington when I lived there. It always is the same. Protestors chant and argue. Then one decides to throw a newspaper box through a Starbucks window. The police stop him, and he immediately begins to cry "Police brutality" and that his rights are being trampled. This sets off others. These "anarchists" are not serious people.
They have critical mass going off in San Francisco today, it's the 10th anniversary, I think things will get ugly today.I remember last time, there was a lot of brawls!
Have you EVER thrown a newspaper box at a Mickey D's? ITS FOOKING FUN! F protesting I just show up to get my anger out and break sheet.
