I have no idea what the answer is to the Pepsi Pop Quiz. Maybe someone who has played in front of Meola? ;-)

    Pepsi Pop Quiz

Tony Meola is the all-time MLS leader in complete-game shutouts by goalkeepers (44). Who is the leader in clean sheets among field players? For the answer, tune in to ESPN2’s coverage of Galaxy vs. Wizards, airing on tape delay at 1:00 A.M. EDT Sunday morning.

Answer to last week’s quiz: Players born in the U.S. have scored 1849 goals in MLS regular-season games. Players born in El Salvador rank second (205). Rounding out the top five: Colombia, 177; Bolivia, 122; and Jamaica, 118.

My guess-answer to the Pepsi Pop Quiz:

    either Pope or Agoos.

    I'll go with Agoos.

    How's that for definitivity?

Off the top of my head, my gut guess would be Peter Vermes. He played an awful lot of games in front of Meola.

Pope or Agoos or Richie Williams. Some 7 year defender.

Course it could be any 7 year player - not necessarily a defender. Jason Kreis. It could just as easily be Etch or Moreno as Pope or Agoos.

I dig reading this guys stuff. Good to know the Burn can still right the ship and here's hoping that the last SJ/Columbus game was a sign that the goals will start pouring in.
