For the pop quiz, without looking it up, I'm going with New England, the Metros and Colorado.

I don't think the LA dominance argument is that pertinant. All you have to do is as a casual fan, what they know about MLS and D.C. United is one of the first names to come up. Much like the Yankees and Lakers in their respective sport, because of their great first four years, DC has become the team that fans associate with MLS. It will take continued dominance by LA to replace DC.

The rules get blurred here, cause he was in Miami for one season. But Preki was the first member of the 60-60 club. He has 65 goals and 93 assists (8 and 14 while in Miami). So he's got 57 with KC.

    My guess, Colorado, NY/NY, Chicago

I'm with BenC on this. Colorado, New York, and Chicago. Remember, the Fire have been in the league fewer years than anybody else.

The Fire have had Razov though, who has been pretty productive.

Jersey, New England and Colorado sounds pretty good to me. Actually, as I look jmeissen0 already answered.

I love this dude's column. A big thumbs up to MLS and Elias for bringing it to us this year. I guess it's my American's love of statistics. I don't find them very meaningful when it comes to soccer - and I love that too - but when they're spun out like this guy does, it makes for a fascinating read.

I think this has been slowly changing, and may have tipped toward the Galaxy since MLS Cup 2002 and the opening of the new Home Depot Center coming up in June. They're just getting all the press these days. It doesn't help (or hurt, depending on your point of view), that DC hasn't even been in the playoffs for 3 years running. (or is it two?)

Serna had over 50 for the Fusion, but did any player score 50 for Tampa Bay?

So apparently that makes four, not three, MLS teams that haven't had a 50 goal scorer.
