A big front page sports section article on the Zabala's was in our local paper yesterday. It had a pic of Maite's Atlanta Beat player card and another pic of her playing against Carolina:

What year did you go to BK? I graduated from Vallivue in '96.

You ever go to any of the big Basque parties at the Basque Center? Oy I've had some fun times at those!

I knew a kid from Boise in my childhood. Never knew what part because he lived in Medford, OR at the time, but he absolutely loved it. I know it's likely not an ubercosmopolis like Seattle or even Portland, but the organized Basque community which I've heard of there is a neat little gem.

Good on them for this article. It's too bad there's no W-League or WPSL team there.

I was in Boise, and coming from NYC, it was everything nyc isn't. small clean nice.

The Basque community there is great, run large basque festivals. Food. Unbelivable, no?
