Tonight: FC Utrecht vs PSV Tomorrow: Feyenoord vs Ajax If Utrecht win tonight, they are pretty much guaranteed of a spot in the UEFA Cup next season. This because Ajax and Feyenoord will already have an European spot through their ranking in the league. Their chances of winning helped by the fact that Dave vd Bergh will be able to play for the team, and not sit on the sidelines because of a red card he received a few weeks ago. There could possibly be the same final as last year, although I think the favourites to get to said final are the 2 other teams. Both PSV and Utrecht haven't looked so great in their past few games, but PSV at least are still winning those games. And Feyenoord are just that damn good, especially up front...which is the department where Ajax have a problem, with vd Vaart and Zlatan not being too good in form lately. Should be 2 entertaining games, I better get some tapes ready to record Everwood and Buffy/Angel
I will only allow myself to be tortured by watching Charmed when the lovely Michelle Branch will make an appearance Not sure why I watch Everwood actually, probably on some unconsious level because I don't want to miss the return of the Gilmore Girls when it happens. What? Even more sissy?!? Co©kaeus! (best new word ever from Tenacious D's album)
Back on topic........ Utrecht are in the final for the 2nd time in a row.... 2-1 1-0 Kuijt 2-0 Tanghe 2-1 Kezman(?) Couldn't watch the entire match but it was a much better effort by Utrecht. Both players and fans gave all they had....seemed PSV took the whole thing too lightly, relying on their skill alone
Great! Congrats to Utrecht--always glad to see P$V lose. I hope Ajax can win tomorrow to set up a repeat of last year's final.
¿Did PSV even have a shot on goal in the 1st half? PSV were more dangerous in the 2nd half though. Kezman made the goal for PSV. Faber could have gotten the red card twice this game, first for that tackle on Kuyt in the box which the ref didn't whistle because Kuyt had already shot miss...and second for taking out the Utrecht striker who was gonna go all by his lonesome to the PSV goal. Oh well, Utrecht are through...no harm done. And they were the deserved team to go through if you look at both halves.
That should probably be 'kan'. Or 'Kahn' if you're talking about that German gorilla...but I don't think it's even possible for his name and 'lekker' to be in the same sentence.
And the final will be between FC Utrecht and Feyenoord, to be played in the Kuip. Feyenoord - Ajax 1-0 Goal scored by Bosvelt (he had to score because van Persie couldn't play because of food poisining ) I think it was a deserved win, both teams had some good chances to score, but Feyenoord looked a little better to me in this game. van Hooijdonk received a red card in the last 5 minutes of the game, it might be removed seeing as he really didn't do all that much, but what a blow that would be for Feyenoord if he didn't play in the final.
Ajax out. You always want to beat your rival of course... but we have more important things going at the moment. BTW mr Luinge proved once again that he doesn't have what it takes.
Oops, VI.nl just reminded me that the red card (if it remains) would also be counted for league games, so unless the punishment is over 7 games (highly unlikely; i.e. no chance in Hell) Pierre will play in the final.
