so when are they going to go to FieldTurf....they can't just keep resodding the field over and over, though it doesn't stop Milan or Giants Stadium. Then again AA doesn't half the traffic San Siro and GS have (2 soccer and 2 american football/one soccer teams respecively)
Nothing's definite yet. We have one football and one american football team playing. The problem is (as with everything about the Arena) they built it without thinking about ANYTHING. My solution: tear the piece of ************ down and build a decent stadium.
correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a major roadway that passes right under the arena, and theeusually so much emissions from the road that kills the grass?

Than it would probably be 'De Nieuwe Meer' but who needs details. I wouldn't mind your idea sonicdream. Roll out of bed, straight into the stadium (almost). But although there have been rumours a couple of years ago about Ajax wanting an own stadium I don't think it will ever happen. So the Arena it is. Too bad that going to astrobetagammaxquadrantfieldturf wil be yet another chapter in the story of a beautifull little girl ending up a big fat crack hooker. The total sell out of the club's soul will be complete then. Even the grass is fake. feyenoord fans already referred to it during this years game. They had a choreography saying "de kuip echt gras" (de kuip real grass). If people in rotterdam had any sense of humour they would've dropped the r after a few seconds.... But back to the point... The whole Arena situation stinks, that's for sure. So they should really just do as they see fit. They have all the answers, as we can clearly see.

Ajax don't really have major scheuleing/pitch quality issues as far as the NFL Euope club do they?? I know with the Metrostars, the field gets almosy unwatchable with all the gridiron lines and the torn up grass late Aug.-early Sept., and games usually are mid-week or if latches are on weekends, the field is not even touched outside of repainting the lines
