Amon's FCN have managed to find a new rich majority shareholder from Egypt, investing €100 million (around $121.5 million) in the team and in the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana + an expansion by the creation of a Right to Dream Academy in Egypt and also a possible future UK Right to Dream Academy and UK expansion at club level, probably inspired by the FC Midtjylland sharing of ownership, Chairman/Co-Director of Football (Rasmus Ankersen) and strategy with Brentford.

I do not really have much to say about Amon, who is still recovering from surgery, but again, he is still only 21 and if you ask me how long FCN will do their very best to support him, my answer is until he reach the age of 23. Because this is the age when they usually let their young players go if they do not become a success and are sold.

But since I have nothing else to report about Amon, I will post some videos about how FCN work in Africa :

And Michael Essien who is now part of the FCN coaching staff at FCN and doing this interview about FCN and Right to Dream Academy :

If he were playing at all, he'd be our only guy in Denmark not in the relegation group.

BTW, his injury is about to turn 2 y.o.

i mean, yeah....saying "look who's back" is unnecessarily vague ....precision of language is important.

His injuries necessitate vagary. Don’t be a wet blanket.

its the official twitter of his club. not a friendly instagram post from one of his boys.

being vague is never a necessity.

To keep pressure off of him, his manager and teammates, to protect their investment, to give a smile to fans, yea, it is a necessity

idk.....i just see it differently. words matter.

If they just wanted to show his happy smile...just make a comment about his nice smile....and keep it moving....

but the specific phrase "look who's back" could imply many different things...most likely that he is back training/back recovered from his injury etc....

but they could just be using it bc he isnt back training or playing but back around the faciliity etc....if they are using it that way...it seems purposefully misleading to me and I dont like it. Bc everyone who sees the post is going to have the same questions....why raise questions in people's minds without making things clear?

so they must know that phrasing it that way will be unclear to people and make them question the situation. i dont appreciate it. just make it more clear....in a nice friendly way.

I realize that most people live in a world i which 80% of communication or more is nonverbal....but I didnt realize that also extended to twitter and the blogosphere, as well.

Words do matter, and they are being vague in that post on purpose. Like you explained yourself.

You should write a very strongly-worded letter to their social media manager.

"He's back" = It was not a career-ending injury, only one that set him back a few years...

He looks just a shade out of shape for a pro athlete to me, which is what you'd expect for someone who's been injured for so long. In this context, "back" could mean back from medical care and ready to start his athletic rehabilitation so he can start training for the team.

He's not in the squad for today's friendly, so that may give some sense of what "back" means:

Interview with Coach Lasso about Amon. Says the earliest he's expected back is sometime in Autumn.

"It is progressing, but it is progressing slowly. If all goes well, he may return in mid-autumn, and we'll have to look at that. We do not work with a date, we only look at that there is progress in his rehabilitation, and that we do not overload him too much," says FCN coach Flemming Pedersen to tipsbladet.dk.

His contract goes to summer 2022, so could be cut loose at that point.

Has there been any other updates?

He crossed my mind since Sabbi played against his club yesterday

This man's injury is old enough to have completed potty training.

His contract is up in June. He's been with Nordsjaelland since November 2017 and has played about 1,900 league minutes in those 4+ years.

    And he's only 22.
