    Muy pocos jugaron bien hoy:

    Bravo

    Paredes (no hizo nada)
Estrada (puras cagadas, y 1 tiro libre aceptable)

    Los más retados por Bielsa:

Tello (1er tiempo): "Tesho, libre, soltáte soltáte, movéte".
Estrada (2do tiempo): "Estrada, quién car.ajo creés que sos!!".
Fierro (2do tiempo): "Gonzalo Gonzalo!!

i disagree. with the exception of Suazo and Alexis (who are irreplacable), I think our B team handles itself properly. remember the guys who weren't there yesterday bro -- Medel, Ponce, Vidal, Mati etc...

    B team
    ------Pinto-----
    Isla--Contreras--Jara
    Fierro--Estrada--Tello
    -------Mati----------
    Orellana-xxx------Jean

Bravo y Jara MUY BIEN, y Contreras bien.

In my NT, Contreras, Jara, Isla(RM), Beausejour(LM) and Orellana(LF) are starters.

And in the Bielsa`s XI, at least Jara is part of the A-team. Eventually Isla and Beausejour too.

Ponce and Mati don't have a starting spot assured, and Isla, Jean and Jara could very well be starters... at this point I think you have B and A teams mized up.

Which goes back to what I said at the beginning... we have, at most, 11 players that can compete at a World Cup level because Estrada, Tello, Fierro, Cereceda, etc. leave a lot to be desired. I'd like to see Pinto play some minutes with la Roja, and I really hope that he gets some playing time on Sunday.

And although I admit I didn't watch the first half, you could also argue that Carmona's level increased due to Beausejour and Sanchez coming in and helping in pressuring up top, giving him some much needed help. Either way, from what I saw from him, he was outstanding.

This is something that calls my attention every time I see an African team, maybe with the exception of Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Algeria. The rest of the continent seem way too quick to shoot on goal as soon as they have more that 4 seconds on the ball...and usually it's from quite a distance, and because of this, it usually goes way over the crossbar.

I remember Ghana and Angola on the last World Cup in Germany. They did all the hard work of getting to the opponents half, with nice crisp passing...only to put the ball into orbit almost every time! It was so frustrating to watch...at first I thought it was the new type of ball they were using in Germany....

But today I saw the same thing. Zambia didn't attack as much because Chile had the pressing high up the pitch....but the few times they built up some sort of counter they immediately tried a ridiculous shot from way outside the penalty area...and the ball landed somewhere in the Andes mountains.

Zambia should have tested our defense more...it is out weak point.

Caturro was talking about the team that played the second half as the A team, suggesting that our B team was significantly weaker (or non existent).

I think the team i posted is a likely B team, but even if you switch Valdivia for Mati, or Ponce for Contreras, or Jara for Vidal etc... i still think the B team you're left with is pretty strong.

i thought the same thing about Carmona as well, but he showed against Israel that he's playing as well as he ever has for the NT...

And I can't agree with the thing about us only having 11 players........

as far as i'm concerned we have a serious lack of depth in only two spots
    - centre forward and central defense
everywhere else i'm comfortable with what we have.

Orellana is no Alexis, but he's a quality player. Mati isn't at his best like Valdivia, but he's still a player that has had amazing performances with Bielsa. If Medel is out, in comes Isla. No Vidal, in goes Jara. No Jean, we have Mark...

We're not Argentina or Brazil etc... we cant expect to have 100 players that can play a WC.... and considering this is a country that hasn't been to one in 12 years, and that hasn't had a WC victory in half a decade...i'd say we have great depth.

this team is deeper than the 98 team, and i'd venture to say that beyond the past winners and maybe holland, we might have more depth than anyone
