La temperatura a la hora del partido será entre 0 y 5 grados celsius, algo que seguramente perjudicará a los africanos (sumado eso a la bajísima humedad ambiente y a la altura).

Just got home... good, I can at least watch the second half. Apparently, Zambia plays some futbol (by looking at the result).
Watching the Zambia - Chile friendly... Chile need to learn how to play with tough physical teams like Zambia. And fast. They keep falling over after the slighest touch. There are places where you can fall over, but being a defender of deep midfielder you have to know not to do so in front of goal. Some nice passing play by the Chileans by the way. I wouldn't worry about the result. Zambia is one of the most underrated teams in the world. Strong on the ball, physical and fast, have flair and the magic touch, just need to cope with their Kalusha Bwalya syndrome and stop shooting birds at the first sight of goal... That said Zambia isn't looking as good as they normally do. They have no coach, arrived just yesterday and are missing a few players (but no-one very important). Second half it does look like jet-lag came in. The passing by Zambia has been godawful and the attacks are becoming disjointed. Normally Zambia is a much better team in the attacking department and they don't lose possession as easily as right now.
Zambia got tired. Indeed, they are a better team than what was seen today, but the same can be said of Chile. Bielsa has been experimenting with the lineup, playing the first half with a subpar Cereceda playing left wingback, and without Vidal and Fernàndez.
Just finished watching it on justintv and i watched starting on the 15th of the first half. Man o man, the passes Valdivia gives are beautiful, Marc Gonzalez and Bousejour would benefit greatly by having him since both of them are fast as ********. The passes are for them to run and beat the defense. Valdivia missed an easy cross he was by him self waiting in the middle, but he more than made up for it by that first goal pass, and the goal he ended up scoring. There just no excuse for this guy to not play AT least 45 full minutes. Orellana was also great but I don' think we should let him start over Marc just yet, it's nice to have him as a back up the guy is fast and goes after all balls, he is like a mini sanchez. When Bousejour and Sanchez came in in the 2nd half the whole game changed. Oh, and may I add, Cereceda was taken out at the same time. Even though Estrada didn't look much better than Cereceda, but at least anything is better than that. Contreras and Jara look better than Ponce and Vidal. I wouldn't leave Vidal out though, just not let him be a defender. My line up for the WC. Bravo Contreras Medel - Jara Carmona Vidal - Bousejour Valdivia Sanchez - Suazo - Marc Orellana should at least play 25 minutes for Marc Estrada should be considered if he can regain his level Isla considered Ponce considered if Jara or Contreras begin ********ing up Fernandez should play about 30 minutes a game for Mago, Mago needs to get in better shape Paredes needs to go home, I dont understand how he left Mancilla out for his sorry ass The main difference between mati and valdi is that mati hides and disappears, valdi looks for the ball and asks for it even if he is covered. Sanchez looked good.
Chile seemed to have some problems trying to create opportunities during the first half.The entrance of alexis certainly changed the game.Valdivia had a great second half too.I think that bielsa should use him rather than m.fernandez as a starter.He can really make the difference with his technique and vision.
This was a good warm up, at least from the highlights that I saw from the first half and all of what I saw in the second half. Zambia took advantage of the lack of pressure outside of our box and tried many long distance shots in the second half... this last aspect definitely has me worried as I can see teams like Spain and Switzerland taking great advantage of this. The team definitely doesn't look as energetic as it looked through qualifiers. Once Alexis came in, his willingness to put pressure on their defense was contagious and even Valdivia seemed to put some more effort into it. I repeat, putting pressure on opposite teams possession is KEY in the way this team plays and hopefully everyone looks somewhat more fit as the game against Honduras gets closer. We have no B team. Most of the guys that came in the second half... they are it. The level disparity between starters and subs is staggering. Estrada needs to 'get into it' soon or he needs to GTFO, and he definitely should do a manda at lo Vazquez because only God knows why Bielsa holds him in such high regard (he's a poor man's Pizarro at this point in time... only no dribbles (?). Orellana was outstanding, and his small physique is the only detrimental quality to a chance at starting as a left mid. Valdivia was more active in the second half because he didn't have Paredes and Fierro throwing bricks back at him. Also, Cereceda needs to GTFO already. Hardly ends any of his forward motions, his defending is terrible... just GTFO already. Even if Bielsa wants him to stay, for dignity's sake (as we all know Bielsa is crazy) Cereceda just needs to leave on his own. Everyone knows (I'm sure he does too) that he does not have the required level to play at a World Cup. Period.
You right about putting pressure on the other team before it gets to the box. We need to get in the best shape of our lives (i say ours like its me lol). Bousejour has really impressed me with his physique. He has publicly said that he puts in the extra effort to get in the shape he needs to be in. Cereceda is horrible, bad defending, bad passing. Valdivia was the man of the match. In TVN they say is Sanchez since he scored the first two goals, but c'mon the first goal was all Valdivia, all Sanchez had to do was push it in by him self, no goalie or anything. Sanchez pressure on the other team is something to admire though. And the last goal was off the chain. I'm happy with the way we played on the second half.
Carmona had a good game. I also think Fierro may have reserved a spot with the 23 man roster. On the other hand I hope Estrada can turn it around & we can see what he used to provide for the national team, he just hasn't been the same since his injury. Estrada & Cereceda are in contention for staying on the team & ultimately making it to South Africa.
