Fernandez es el jugador ideal para el esquema de Bielsa...gira rapido, piensa rapido, habilita bien, se mueve rapdio, marca cuando puede y tiene gol (al menos por la seleccion).

Jimenez tiene gol y es rapido...pero no lo he visto hacer las habilitaciones de Fernandez o incluso las de Morales.

A Morales le falta mas potencia para desprenderse de la marca como Matias.

 

Apuraditos llegaron los seleccionados y un sonriente Marcelo Bielsa al Aeropuerto Pudahuel para embarcarse rumbo a Europa, donde jugarán un amistoso el 20 de este mes ante Turquía.

Lo bueno de todo esto esque vamos a jugar contra un rival de verdad, semi finalista de la ultima euro copa, aunque por lo que pude ver un par de figuras como Nihat y Altintop no van a estar. Lo imporante esque el partido sirva de apreton para los partidos frente a Brasil y Colombia.
En vez de Miguel Pinto me habria gustado que llevaramos otro arquero, Peric, por ejemplo. En cuanto a la defensa, Isamael Fuentes no juega un partido competitivo desde que jugo los ultimos partidos eliminatorios por Chile frente a Venezuela y Bolivia. Cabe recordar que esta pagando una suspension de 4 partidos en Mexico, la cual debe desde el torneo pasado cuando Jaguares quedo eliminado. En cuanto a Contreras, ojala pueda mostrar algun atributo, ya que como jugo la ultima copa america, pense que nunca mas lo ibamos a ver en alguna convocatoria.
Por ultimo, es de eesperar que Valdivia sea el "10" que tanta falta nos ha hecho ultimamente, ojala se eche al equipo al hombro y muestre lo que muestra semana a semana jugando por el Palmeiras.

I doubt Bielsa wont use Jara as his one of his favs. same thing with beausejour.

 

I don't want Contreras to play. If he plays hopefully, he does it better than last year at the Copa America.

 

Agreed, rather see Fuentes. Or try Celis.

what i would like to understand is why not try what argentina does with riquelme and mesi with valdivia and mati?

this is an exhibition game, shouldn't we try new schemes to try to incorporate our best players? this is the time to try new stuff, let's hope bielsa doesn't think of this at the end of the qualifiers... i would like to see at least 1 game with both on the floor at the same time...

 

Cause neither Valdivia nor Matias are the same style as Messi. Messi is like a winger forward which makes it easy to use an attacking mid with. You could even argue that Bielsa already does this by using a central attacking mid with Sanchez as the right winger forward.

Plus, Matias and Valdivia arent our best players. I think Carmona ,Sanchez even Beausejour play better at their position than Matias had, and Valdivia it is still unknown.

Ugur Boral is not a left back,hes is a winger very fast but make mistakes when he play left back,Gökhan Gönül is one of the best right back(i think he is like dani alves) but is a bit out of form,Servet and Gökhan Zan are slow but solid,wo Emre and Yildiray(not called) Turkey havent a playmaker in this formation,with two wingers Kazim and Tuncay and in form striker Semih are the dangerous players in the squad..

I dont know a much about Chile,i saw them in Copa America,Vidal,Humberto,Bravo,Tello,Maldonado and Gonzales is what I know,other names is unknown for me..

If Chile have fast forward and right winger i think they can easily score,defence will again the weakest part..

Ok, so who the fuck is Celis? I keep hearing his name come up but I've never seen him play... I thought he was just one of those kids Bielsa likes to bring along so he can get some time with the starters (?).

Hope we can at least get a tie... just want the team to play decent. Playing decently I'm sure we can beat Dunga's Brazil.

 

If true, good news to us. The right winger is prob one our stronger points.

Just finished watching the 1st half (on-line with Turkish commentary). Some brief comments.

Chile had way too many offsides and almost scored on one of them (that was not called). Pero ... se le fue al Vidal.

Vidal looked weak. Turned it over with bad passes and was easily beaten on a few plays. Also, he committed some pretty dumb fouls. Will earn a yellow card easily, if he continues to play like this in the 2nd half or against Brasil.

Both of Turkey's best chances came off Chile's right defensive side. Since I was watching on-line, I could not make out who is playing there, but a change MUST be made there.

Matias - Any contact and he goes down too easily. He's gotta show "more teeth" or eat more porotos or something.
Alexis Sanchez - Couldn't do anything on his wing. Not his creative self. Hopefully the moves show up in the 2nd half.

Overall, a sluggish half by both side. Seems like a game that will be won by whichever team is able to capitalize on the other's
mistake. But I guess it doesn't really matter who wins, but rather who Bielsa can best utilize for the upcoming games. We'll see what happens in the 2nd half. Hopefully, we get to see Tello and Valdivia in the 2nd half.

 

Wow, everytime we play better, we lose.
