Game has begun! Line-ups: Bento, Vitinho, Gabriel Magalhães, Militão, Douglas Santos; Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães; Estêvão, Matheus Cunha, Vini Jr., Rodrygo Cho, Kim, Lee, Kim Min-Jae, Cho, Seol; Lee Jae-Sung, Hwang, Paik, Lee; Son.
Korea marking tightly. Brazil with some chances but off target from outside the box. First goal at 13 minutes: Estêvão 1x0 on a brilliant pass by Bruno Guimarães
Brazil with the possession and control throughout the first half. Second goal comes at 40 minutes on a beautiful collective play with Rodrygo's "corta-luz" and then getting the pass back to finish. Only a few minutes left in the half. Would like to see Igor Jesus, Luiz Henrique and new full-backs in the second half.
Final score, 5x0 Very good game by Brazil. More important than the score was the offensive coordination and solid defense. Last two times we played South Korea we scored 4 and 5 goals, so this is on par with what Tite's team did with opponents of this level. Japan will be tougher because they are better and because we will probably see some changes to the line-up. If Senegal is confirmed for November (might be confirmed today depending on their results) that will be the toughest test under Ancelotti so far.
What a sight for sore eyes this match was! I can’t remember Brazil looking this sharp and fluid in this World Cup cycle.
Couldn't catch the game, but if there is one confed we still don't have much trouble looking good with, is asian teams. Mainly Japan and South Korea. But hopefully this is a good sign.
Here's a good highlight real, no play-by-play, but it good quality and shows most of the play leading up to the goal, no weird cuts:
