Americans in the EPL

Off the top of me head, I would say John Harkes against Keller would be another possibility. Or maybe Reyna has scored against Blackburn or Spurts?

After taking a quick look through the archives at the Everton fan site ToffeeWeb, it appears Joe-Max never scored against either Friedel or Keller.

Moore never scored against Blackburn while he played in the Premier League, and though Joe-Max did score against Spurs back in the 1999-2000 season, Keller wasn't in net that game for Tottenham.

I double checked the archives and Moore never scored against Leicester or Liverpool.

For the record, Joe-Max scored 8 goals in league action and 2 Cup goals. Moore's goals came against:

1999-2000: Tottenham, Preston (FA Cup), Wimbledon, Derby Cty, Villa (FA Cup), West Ham, Watford (2)

2000-2001: none

2001-2002: Derby Cty, Leeds

2002-2003: none

Reyna's scored 3 goals for Sunderland since joining the team in December 2001. Claudio's first goal came against Everton in his home debut. Reyna also scored 2 goals against Leicester in April 2002 with Ian Walker in net for City.

 

damn! im gonna have to research this - i was told once but i cant remember - wasnt kirovski, dont htink it was lewis, maybe harkes, who else is there as a possibility?

 

Are you sure it happened in the Premier League? Perhaps it occured in Division One back when Keller played for Millwall.

 

how about cobi with coventry?

 

Jones played for Coventry in 1994-95 while Keller was at Millwall. I'm not sure how many goals Cobi scored, but only two are mentioned at the USSF's website (against Norwich and against Crystal Palace).


Another possibility might be Eddie Lewis at Fulham. Maybe he scored against Freidel or Keller before falling out of favor.

 

this is gonna drive me crazy - did somebody score on hahnemann when he was at fulham (although i could swear it was keller who got scored on by an american)

 

maybe, just maybe it has never happened until mcbride scored against keller.

 

well it wouldnt be the first time i was mistaken but someone told me of an instance a while back (of course they could have been mistaken)
