Same. Just have a hard time thinking they both agreed reaching on Ferrell. Someone called the shot and my gut says it was Jon.
Garbage pick with Ed Oliver on the board. Lions have no balls. This franchise is 100% emasculated ever since Schwartz left.
Haskins just needs to get by Miami. Won’t be surprised if we move up here with GB if the price is minimal.
Jay cock blocked Jon. Would have been happy with Greedy there. I’m guessing our second was involved. Wonder what WR will drop to us in the third:
I'm super envious of you. You guys just do the obvious thing that everyone else overthinks and it works.
The crazy thing is we know both Bruce and Dan were in the room. Usually with THIS team, there hasn't been a draft where they picked someone I didn't want and they were right and I was wrong. Not only did they get lucky with Haskins falling, but they actually took my QB1 when I have seen so many drafts where we either picked the wrong QB or wasn't lucky to have my QB1 fall to us. Next year's 2nd was a bit rich, but in the end, I think it was worth it taking a guy that had a top 10-15 grade on him at a major position of need. He could potentially be the best pass rusher we've had in over 20 years. It does hurt a little knowing that there are a ton of nice WRs to be had in the second and Greedy Williams, but I can live with it seeing what we got. I hope a WR I value falls to the third tonight.
Not that Jon doesn't like his bruising backs, but the Jacobs pick had Mayock written all over it. The Baker pick had his name on it as well.
Oops, got the Giants best pick mixed up with a Mayock pick. Yes, Abrams was definitely a Mayock pick. And Baker was the Giants best first round choice IMO.
I'm not looking forward to whenever they decide to go in on the Lions for making yet another gutless pick. But yeah, Washington easily won yesterday.
I have to come clean. I almost celebrated as much as I did with the Haskins pick with the Daniel Jones pick.
I was watching it with my dad and we were both floored. We were high-fiving and yelling and I knew we would have a shot at either Oliver or Allen at that point. Yet I knew in the back of my head we would take neither because the obvious dumbass "run to the podium" pick isn't how the Lions do things even if it's the right thing.
I heard the phrase Gronkowski Lite used to describe the pick too. They really re trying to be the patriots.
