Tied game 1-1 Really boring 2nd half, Mnty tied the game with a nice header off a corner. The only real news is that during the last minute Blanco lost his cool, big surprise, and recieved another yellow for stepping on someone's ankle. Blanco recieved his first for diving in front of the ref. After the 2nd yellow the camera pans to Lapuente and you could just see the frustations seeping from his trademark kangol hat. Blanco really knows how screw things up for himself. He did it to himself again today on the field. What I do get is why he insist on getting the last laugh on every play he's involved in. Blanco needs to learn how to walk away from situation. Oh yeah he's freaking 30 yrs that ain't going to happen because he's too old to learn new tricks. Other note of interest, Lapuente subbed in Sebastain Fernandez for Lipatin and also Paco Torres got some playing time.

I knew the officiating was going to be terrible from thr get go when Castro was fouled and taken to the ground in the first 3 minutes of the game. I told myself.. its going to be a long game. I just thought that the ref had an itch. If anything he could have ejected Blanco after his first yellow. But why blow this out of proportion. I mean Vicente Sanchez has more of a temper than Blanco... he has shown it time and time again. He showed it after the Necaxa quartefinal game in the Verano 2002 Tournament after they were eliminated. He showed it again this year... got suspended 4 games. Cardozo moans on every play. Not one play goes by where he does not complain and he doesnt get smacked around nearly as much as Blanco. A referee is not in a position to judge a player by his personal actions off the field nor a reputation on the field. Granted, Cardozo moans at every play, but as a ref you cant have have that type of mentality because he may very well miss a call.. The problem is Codesal. THe officiating was horrible this week. So many PKs that were nonexistant and sub par performances. And for Codesal to justify it, shows why the officiating has not improved. ITs time we get a new guy to run the officiting in the MFL. IF he were to acknowledge that there is a problem, it would get solved a lot quicker. But he is not addressing the problem.
Yes I agree every player gets tossed, but my thing is that Blanco always has to have the last word. If Blanco gets a foul called aganist him, he quickly starts complaining gaining him more attention. Which in the end works against him. I would just like to see him shut up and start playing. If you foul take your punishment and go. No one has ever won a argument with a ref on the field.
