Well, it’s a particularly bad Celtic team. then they hired Wilfred Nancy of the Columbus crew fame who set out to try and play his signature style in the Scottish premier league with a squad completely incapable of it so they’ve lost 5 of 7 matches including 4 in a row for the first time in like 50 years. They seemed to be figuring it out with two wins in a row then lost midweek to a mediocre team away and were played off the park. Their next match is the Old Firm vs blood feud rivals Rangers. of course Celtic “fans” think they are Barcelona and they have nothing to learn from an MLS coach (thank god for Nancy he’s not American) and they’re not excited by MLS signings (although the rumored signing of a guy like Diego Rossi would be a massive boost). so it’s a mess. Do yourself a favor and go to the Celtic forum on Reddit and prepare to laugh.
Been watching the Old Firm match. It’s a lot like watching an mls game, there is some quality on the field but lots of stupid play and bad passes, etc. a lot of chaos. Poor Celtic, while always super fragile in the back they took a 1-0 lead and ought to have scored 3-4 in the first half. well, they never came out of the halftime locker room and conceded 2 softly in first 15 minutes of second half. araujo is on now at 65 minutes to try and rescue them from the fullback position I guess. Celtics attackers are just dire. So wasteful of opportunities and so much stupidity of thought. ETA: Celtic goalie (Kasper Scmeicel former premier league champion) lets a super soft shot go through his hands. 3-1. What a joke.
