Joveljic is currently (7/26) fifth in the league in scoring with 13, despite playing for a crappy team. I miss him a lot. Both for his finishing ability but also because he was smart and all about positive energy. He would have helped us not fall into the suckitude abyss we are stuck in.
It’s going to be interesting to see what happens when Riqui comes back. We obviously improve, but I’m wondering how much extra space Dejan afforded Pec and Pain? Teams know we don’t have a goal scorer up top so they can put extra attention on our DPs. Dejan got one full season where Vanney didn’t treat him like a 85th minute substitute and it coincides with a championship. No doubt we get better when Riqui is healthy, but I doubt we’re anywhere near as prodigious in goals for unless we get a striker of Dejan’s caliber.

Chicharito has come out of the closet as a raging asshole. Short version: back in the kitchen women. In this timeline I’m expecting AEG to announce him as the next statue. https://www.reddit.com/r/sports/comments/1m481p5/mexico_football_legend_javier_chicharito/
ever since he cried about his career being over because he was moving over to MLS and The Galaxy, I never trusted the dude to be a stand-up person, so not surprised he would make comments like this.
I have never heard of NISA before. Does it provide an affiliation for teams below USL, like semi-pro, club, or adult rec teams?
It's a league for third division pro clubs on the US Soccer pyramid. On the same division level as MLS Next Pro and USL League 1. VCFC has played NISA clubs in US Open Cup play, such as LA Force and Irvine Zeta.

Too bad this didn’t happen before our transfer window closed. Not that it would’ve mattered, the team had shown no interest in making moves anyway.
This is a must watch/listen if you are a fan of the Galaxy and/or USMNT. First episode of Cobi’s new podcast brings the tea. Especially a very candid talk with Steve Sampson.

Raheem the subject of some abuse at their recent game. Shameful behavior. #RBNY left back Raheem Edwards was subjected to racial slurs and abuse by his own fans in the South Ward after the match. Racism is never acceptable under any circumstances, this is a stain on the club. Thoughts are with Edwards at the moment. I want to point out the speculation is on what exactly transpired because some are claiming it wasn't directly racial, just derogatory and hurtful. The tweet specifically mentions racial, which could be designed as a social media post meant to stir up ragers.
I tried to find some further info and it seems the consensus is that fans are frustrated with the FO and players and it was more derogatory and hurtful and this James Birlie guy is the only one saying it's racial, to stir the pot, I'm sure we will find out more during the week, at this point its speculation and he said, she said.
Since they're very similar players I'll ask everyone this question: if fully healthy and in form, would you rather have Romain Alessandrini or Gabriel Pec as one of your DPs? As much as I like Pec, as we have seen this season he is only elite when teamed up with a star playmaker. He is still young though so he has room to possibly get better. Having said that, I would rather have Romain as a DP. He was just saucier, had a bit more juice speed wise than Pec and was a much better shooter. We missed him dearly when we had Zlatan, had he been 100% who knows what those 2 could've accomplished together.
Tough choice honestly. Pec had a great season last season and has just been a bit snakebitten this season. Drini didn't start off so great in MLS, but soon became a fan favorite and played amazing during a very low period in Gs history and was the only reason to watch before Zlatan came on board. It's difficult too because you can tell he obviously enjoyed his time with the Gs. So my heart says Drini, but in terms of soccer sense??? It's a toss up for me.
I wish he hadn’t- but he did: https://people.com/former-soccer-st...and-after-of-hair-piece-installation-11830809
