I haven't thought about Chad Barrett in quite awhile #TFCLive Flashback: Chad Barrett shocked by trade to LA Galaxy"There was a lot of initial shock just because TFC had gone to such great lengths to keep me there," Barrett said after the 2011 trade.ICYM my latest at TFC Republichttps://t.co/ZKLUXjZyaE— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) November 10, 2024
Arena is putting the band back together. Sarachan in talks to join his staff on the Earthquakes Sources tell ESPN that Dave Sarachan & Shalrie Joseph are in advanced talks w/ #Quakes74 to join Bruce Arena's staff. Sarachan has had a long association w/Arena over the years at multiple stops most notably with the #LAGalaxy and #usmnt. Joseph was on Arena's staff with #NERevs.— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) November 27, 2024
Efrain Alvarez news Ex-LA Galaxy player Efrain Alvarez is burring Cruz Azul early in the first half. Excellent finish off a back-line error. Here, full of confidence, that’s Juan Carlos Osorio, who has him playing the best footy of his career. It deserves a full Mex National Team look. 👀— herculez gomez (@herculezg) November 28, 2024
Last night brought back so many amazing memories watching the @LAGalaxy return to MLS Cup!!! Can’t wait for next weekend, see you all there 💙💛🏆⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️— Landon Donovan (@landondonovan) December 1, 2024
More Arena and friends going to San Jose. Romney following him there along with Mark Anthony Kaye and Ian Harkes BREAKING: The San Jose Earthquakes have acquired Mark-Anthony Kaye, Dave Romney and Ian Harkes from the New England Revolution, per sources. Revs get around $500k GAM + int'l roster spot.Move gives Bruce Arena three familiar faces in SJ rebuild. https://t.co/EXhBAA0aSn— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) December 2, 2024
TBH I kinda hope he revives San Jose, at little. It doesn't feel the same hating on them when they suck so much.
Same. LAFC is getting there. There have been some good battles, particularly Zlatan’s debut game, but that was an outlier. We sucked, and it was more Zlatan beating LAFC than two equally matched rivals. There’s not really been a “game that shall not be mentioned”, no marquee players swapping teams, no MLS Cup overtime losses, nor Magee heroics.
I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but LD and Tim Howard have a new podcast. Some real interesting conversations about LAG, but also about the USMNT under Klinsman. https://www.youtube.com/@UnfilteredSoccer
Academy Alum but he's making waves at the Dortmund youth squad. Mathis Albert started and scored a BRACE and had a HAT-TRICK of assists for the Dortmund U19s this morning in a win against the Preußen Münster U19s.Albert is now up to NINE goals and NINE assists in FIFTEEN appearances this season.#usynt #usmnt https://t.co/5LmAoH6L1W pic.twitter.com/Ds624T5pxU— USMNT Report 🇺🇸🇹🇷 (@USMNTReport) December 3, 2024
Definitely want to listen to the first 10-12 minutes where they discuss MLS Cup and the LA Galaxy - and REALLY make sure you go to 43 minutes in or so and listen to them candidly discuss Jurgen Klinsmann. Tim is a bit circumspect in his comments but Landon spills the tea and Tim doesn't push back on anything he says.

I would characterize Tim's comments as confirming Landon's, especially the change in formation story and Landon's conclusion.
Kind of old news but Klinsmann was sacked by South Korea in February, and eventually replaced by Galaxy alumni Hong Myung-bo in July (his second stint as national team manager).
Interesting. During the postgame show, the Apple crew asked Keano when are they going to see him on the sidelines. Keano: "Great question. There are a few conversations going on in Europe and MLS..." INTERESTING....
Zubak and Dunbar seem like they are in good spots at Orange County SC. They were too good for MLSNP and not quite good enough to stick with MLS. USL Championship is a good level for them. .@orangecountysc has re-signed former @LAGalaxy F Ethan Zubak, who led the team with 11 goals in 2024. The team is also expected to re-sign another former Galaxy player, Cameron Dunbar, who had a team-leading five assists @EthanZubak @CamDunbarr— Kevin Baxter 🇺🇦🏳️🌈🇵🇷 (@kbaxter11) December 10, 2024

Ok. So ashamed to admit I need some help on some of these. AJ and Sarvas and Rogers are easy, but help me on the other 2014s.
Raul Mendiola, Oscar Sorto, Leonardo, Charlie Rugg, Brian Perk, Marcelo Sarvas, Robbie Rogers Sarvas was a Galaxy Academy coach and then the LA Galaxy II coach before being let go. He signed to play MASL with the Empire Strykers this fall, but I don't see him listed on the roster. I do see Israel Sesay on the roster, though, who was the youngest player to play for the Galaxy at one point Rogers is an actor, producer, and writer Mendiola, at 30 years-old, played 20 games this year for CV Fuego FC in USL League 1 Perk want to law school, was a deputy district attorney, and is now working at a private law firm Rugg is an asst coach and the Director of Player Development for the men's soccer team at his alma mater, Boston College Not sure what Leonardo and Sorto are doing these days
