Not sure I understand why Porter felt the need to knock Zardes on the way out of Columbus. He's probably not wrong, but it all seems so gratuitous.

Cause he's a jerk. I'm glad he's not our coach.

We dodged a bullet. And I was one who kind of supported him - was I ever wrong.

Porter isn’t even any good as a coach any more to balance out his abrasive personality.

Can only imagine what this current squad would look like with Ibra on the team paired with Chich.

Vanney would refuse to play Chicha along with Ibra citing they both play the same position and Javier would be sitting on the bench waiting to be fed his weekly allowance of garbage minutes starting only on Open Cup matches and when we play on turf.

Probably not anywhere you would think. Zlatan is now 40 and showing his age. He has been injured a lot the last 2 years and his productivity is way down. He has 1 goal in the 9 games and 256 minutes he has played in this calendar year. He has missed 6 games because of injuries.

Yes, but factor in the Euro to MLS adjustment factor of 5 and he'd have 5 goals in 9 MLS games.

I doubt that there is an adjustment factor anything like 5 for old, frequently injured players. Higuain didn't get a bump at all for Inter Miami. Costa hasn't shown any signs of a bump for the Galaxy. Nor has Pato for Orlando.

If Zlatan wants to come back on a 96k minimum contract to prove he's still the best, I won't say no....

But honestly, they aren't Zlatan. In all seriousness though, Zlatan has been breaking down recently.

no offense to Jose and good for him that he has been able to carve out a modest career, however he is a reminder to me on how awful the Galaxy are in producing quality talent, it seemed like Jose was destined for a solid MLS career and it become more of a solid lower league career

He was signed at 17 and played a fair amount of games for the Galaxy but was never able to take it to the next level considering he was surrounded by top tier talent at the time he should have been able to reach a higher level and now that I think about it, it kind of feels like Alvarez is headed towards that same trajectory as Jose, which is not a bad thing for Alvarez but not a good thing for the Galaxy

Wonder if our performance clause from the trade includes a sell-on within the league?

Also not really Alumni News, except I am sort of an Alumnus.

A personal note. I am facing surgery later this year. My first meeting with my surgeon will be next week. Should I be worried? My surgeon's name is Daniel Chivas.
