Michael Jordan anyone? Although that illness was basically just hype to make for a good storyline.

The broadcast I saw said he _did_ practice today, despite being ill.

If he is unwell, I think we start Gomez/Buddle up top

My personal sick athlete moment remains Pete Sampas puking his guts out under the lights at the US Open.

I predict the lotto numbers will be drawn - regardless of the weather.

My bad. I was just immediately concerned it was a story at all.

BTW - moving Dempsey up top next to Buddle and starting Feilhaber or Holden at midfield is also a viable option. It doesn't have to be Gomez/Buddle up top :)

Wonder if this has anything to do with the players being fed crocodile, ibex, kudu, etc., which is what I read on the ussoccer.com blog. Kind of hard to believe nobody kiboshed that idea.

jozy is a gamer - he will make an effort to get on the pitch, even if he has to weak diapers.

Not that I wish Jozy to be ill. But I think a Gomez/Buddle duo would do us just fine.

I like Jozy, however, he hasn't really been putting the ball in the net for awhile. The two above have.

I think that we need some goals tomorrow. So lets go with the two that have been most in form.

People forget that Jozy set up Bradley's goal. Granted, he was primarily trying to get it to Herc, but then again he's also just trying to get a bouncing ball into an attacking area. And, more to the point, he won the header off of Donovan's (perfect) long ball. I don't see Buddle or Herc doing so, because I see them trying to settle that ball and, likely, producing nothing. That is admitted speculation. Nonetheless, I think Jozy's role in literally saving US soccer last Friday isn't getting enough attention.

I hope they swab off that vuvuzela they've been passing around on Studio 90 with some alcohol or something.
