Still a little time before the season starts, but the Swedish FA has announced a preliminary schedule for the Allsvenskan. Kalmar FF, the other newcomers open with a home match against IFK Göteborg. The champions get their first home match in Round 2, though it is in the form of a Stockholm derby with AIK. There will be a break after Round 9 for the Euro 2004 competition. Last match date is May 24, with play resuming on July 7. The 26th and final round of matches for the season is scheduled for October 30.
In my honest opinion, I think it's going to be one of the best, if not THE best season of Allsvenskan! A lot of the Swedish stars have come home and it looks like Goteborg and Malmo are going to have legitimate claims to the title. I think 2004 of the year of excellence!
