Do we get a "You Suck" allocation? From all reports the Metro are, but it's still not clear if we are or not.

I thought they discontinued the you suck allocation. All you get now is the high draft pick. I could be wrong though. And MLS can always change the rules. So who the hell knows.

No, the "you suck" allocation is now called the "super-secret double 'you suck', but only if you're located in the NY metro area" allocation.

I didn't think it was possible but we both suck and blow. :)

I don't know for sure, but I would be shocked if they did not. As MLS is doing its best to turn NY into a successful market (e.g. the insane Bob Bradley theft rumor), I don't see why they would change a traditionally accepted rule that only helps two teams this season, one being NY and the other being the only team with a major decline in attendance, DC.

Regardless, I'm sure Ray has the green light to go after anyone that fits into his budget. Because DC United is still a very big draw on the road, I don't expect there is any impetus in MLS HQ to drop the "you suck allocation" but what form and name it takes, who knows.

Great. We get an allocation that we can't afford to use, so we'll probably trade it somewhere anyway.
